I converted many Yankees to the ways of Texas while attending law school at Notre Dame. After they came and visited me here in Austin, they all want to live here.
And when I lived in London for a year, I was delighted to find there was a Texas Embassy restaurant directly across from school building in Trafalgar Square - and the original Texas embassy itself is still there, too!

see.....i've never had anything but not-so-super experiences with tx..........i am failing to see the hype.........hopefully, though, my bad times are just funky coincidences.....obviously there's something to it. 
i will say one thing about it, though.....you don't see too many ppl from too many other states with this much pride. i love AL and i love KY (to a point....  ), but it ain't as deep for me as it is with y'all!

is there any way to delete the obselete thread?
because i lived in Georgia for 6 miserable(well, the 2 that I was in college were okay) years. . .and nothing. . .compares to the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS!!

AHHHHH, I JUST TALKED TO CORY!!!! LOL
I called in to see when he'd be in town next and we just got to chattin. He told me a bit about Morrow Mondays in Austin, but he kind of lost me. Anybody know anything about this? He says they have these every Monday at some cafe in Austin.
