1. Ferguson police ordered by the DOJ to not wear the "I am Darren Wilson" bracelets.
2. Also ordered by the DOJ to wear their name badges and not cover them up.
3. Saturday, arrests are being made on the protesters for standing on the sidewalk a.ka. "loitering".
4. From his twitter feed, Alderman Antonio French is contacting the DOJ regarding today's "arrests".

While I agree they shouldn't be wearing the bracelets the fact that it's being ordered by the DOJ is irony at its best, hypocrisy at its worst.

Across the oceans: protesters in Hong Kong are using the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" over in China.
From Alderman French's Twitter feed, protests are gearing up again tonight. Protesters also rode bikes today after they were told yesterday that there was a "ordinance" that they have to keep moving and not stand still. Is that constitutional?

Pots and pans, drums, and even cowbells are in use tonight. The police are getting pissed off and some are already in riot gear.
This is starting, once again, to have a very '60s era vibe to it.

Tonight's update: Clergy and a 4.5 minute silent prayer session in front of the PD.

This is quite moving, actually.

We shall see whether it was a gun or a sandwich.

It's a weird one. The officer was off-duty. This is the officer's version of the story: he sees some 18 year old black guys walking down the street and decided to stop them and talk to them. He had some words and they put hands on each other. While they were wrestling(?), he says that he saw that the kid's hoodie came up and he saw that the kid had a gun in his waistband. The kid took off running and the officer pursued. He says that the kid then fired on him 3 times and then the officer fired back and killed him. Police say they recovered a 9mm from the scene that was supposed to the handgun that the kid had.
I'm very interested in knowing if the kid has residue on his hands from firing the weapon.

Can anyone list ANY education, economic or legal system in the world where the majority of blacks are successful? There is NONE. Most blacks fail based on the content of their character.
If blacks have a problem with Ferguson cops then how about we segregate Ferguson and the blacks can have their own police dept? We all know that the black neighborhoods will turn into crime infested ghettos.

Hi Max. How's life treatin' ya? All good?

More violence last night.

The Cardinals start the National League championship on Saturday. The Blues opening game is Saturday. There will be about 80,000 people in downtown St. Louis for the games. There are also large protests planned. Given the amount of alcohol involved in sports events, this is likely to go very, very badly.

On the SiriusXM radio show, "Make It Plain" on Progress 127, the show's host, Mark Thompson, played some audio from an earlier protest this week at a game, where the fans started chanting statements in support of Darren Wilson to counter the Mike Brown protesters.
