I only buy one dangle for each office. I already have like 10 dangles because I held lots of offices and was a panhellenic officer and rho chi, plus GPA pearl. I only have 5 of the dangles on there, just 'cause I haven't added the others yet, but I just put them so that the longer ones are in the middle and the pearl is closest to the guard. I just think it looks better that way.

I just wanted to say that personally I love Tri-delts pin, that is after my own Sig Kap one. I really like our pledge pin also, although I must admit I though it was a little funny looking when I first pledged. I also really like Alpha Phi's pledge pin.
Also I wanted to mention that the Sigma Kappa pins that are unjeweled and don't have a scroll are actually our alumni pins.

Prettiness!
I like Alpha Phi and ADPi's badge the best. I just think they're really really pretty, and I'm a fan of the diamond shape ADPi's is in.....

I'm not about to say which badge I think is prettiest. They're all beautiful. On the other hand, I think I appreciate the ones with symbols much more than the ones that consist of only stacked letters. I like the idea that somebody had to really put some thought into them.

I think all the badges are pretty, but I love the ones for Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Chi Omega and Phi Sigma Sigma. Being and artist and having made jewelery before, I understand how much skill is put into every badge. They're all amazing!

Our badge is one reason why I liked Delta Zeta thoughout recruitment! Im just partial i gues.. . . The dangles off of your chapter guard is something that my chapter does. Plus it is great converstaion during recruitment. If a sister has a 4.0 GPA for the semester, the chapter buys them a gold pearl, and if a sister had a 3.0 GPA or higher she buys a regular pearl. I have heard that we have the most symbolic badge.... but I honestly think that everyones badge is symbolic especially to you as a person.
Another thing.... We are the only sorority where all of our badges are the same. ( I think) They are ALL yellow gold and look just the same. The only option you get is if you want cz or a diamond and if you want Gold Plated, 10k or 14k. It is also required by our chapter that we have guards so that we are all uniform with our badges......
I love Lambda Chi Alpha's badge and Kappa Sigma badge.......

i love our little phi sig badge because it IS original. but it definetly is not going to win any awards for being incredibly gorgeous... that sphinx really does look like george washington. what are you gonna do though, i doubt nationals will ever change that. i'm glad there are people out there who can appreciate how different it is!
i think the prettiest badge is the alpha chi omega lyre, and i really like their pledge pin too, for some reason. i was so jealous when my friend pledged a chi o at my school and wore her pins around (cause a chi o wears them both at the same time, right? thats how her chapter did it at least).
i'm also a fan of delta gamma. so pretty.

Well the Sigma Nu Badge is DEFINITELY my favorite design. I may be partial, but that's the way it is.
One badge that I really think is impressive though (if you get a jewelled version) is the Alpha Tau Omega badge. Here's a really good looking version of it.

It seems to me that the Women's badges are alot less ornate? The men's ones just look more detailed. Does anyone else think this and does anyone know why?

AEPhi's badges are also all the same... we don't even have a choice as to gold content. The only personalization is that each sister's initials are engraved on the back, and you can choose to buy a guard or not. Even the guards are all the same, pearl set to match the badge.
One advantage of this is that we always have our badges for initiation, so you don't give your pin to your little and spend the next 6 months worrying that she'll lose it

Actually Alpha Chi Omeg's badge is in the Smithsonian Musesum....for being so beautiful. I'm not an Alpha Chi, but my friend is. I think SK's (sigma kappa) badge is pretty

That's funny, because, in our Phi Manual, it also says that the Phi Mu's badge is voted most beautiful by NPC orgs. (I remember it, but I don't have my Phi Manual at my apartment, so this is obviously not verbatim.)
I think some writers of pledge manuals are trying to instill respect and awe in the impressionable minds of the new members! hehe

And our sorority likes to say how at one of the early 1900s world's fairs, our badge was voted the most beautiful ... I guess they must have had a lot of badge competitions back in the old days!

Actually....its NOT -- none are. I (me, myself, and I) have been and go quite regularly -- I asked and was told that several years ago (80's) there was a rotating exhibit of GLO badges/insignia, but that it was temporary and no voting ever took place.
I have heard the Smithsonian urban legend almost as much as the badge on the moon one.
