I'm watching with great interest -- a lot of students from this area go to WKU, and Delta Zeta is colonizing there this semester. I can't wait to start writing recs for them!

If the number of PNMS keeps growing this way at a school like Alabama I wonder if they'll have to add an extra day to the recruitment schedule to accommodate the amount of parties needed. Especially with the withdrawal rate declining.

Apparently there are plans to add a day to Alabama's schedule next year.

I'm not sure I will survive recruitment if I ever have granddaughters who attend Alabama (or any other SEC school). Been there once for me. Been there twice with them.

UW Madison

We just surpassed the 900 mark at Wisconsin.
This is the highest number since I've been volunteering (over the last 6 years). Last year's registration was around 850 or so. Last year quota was 50 (or maybe 52? Anyway, low 50s)
This is great to see, since this will be AXiD's first full, formal recruitment since they recolonized.
First day of Round One is this Saturday (prior to the football game, of course). GO BADGERS!

My alma mater, Wichita State University just posted that there are 200+ women signed up for formal recruitment. Recruitment starts September 7th. WSU is a big commuter school, and in my day (mid 80s) we had four active chapters and had about 100 in formal rush. Alpha Chi Omega disbanded their chapter in 84 or 85 I think. House total was between 60 & 65 then, and I'm pretty sure we all routinely participated in some type of continuous open rush and/or Spring rush.

There are now five NPC groups - Alpha Phi, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. KKG is relatively new (under 5 years) but doing well from what I hear. Overall this is a diverse, open minded, service oriented, very panhellenic Greek System. NPC groups are in lodges on university owned property. I'm not sure if KKG has a house yet. There are 5 physical houses on Omega Court, but at one point the former Alpha Chi Omega house was leased by a fraternity and during my time was occupied by Kappa Sigma and then Pi Kappa Alpha. It would make sense to me for KKG to be located there but I have no idea of the condition, ownership, or other status of that lodge.

I'd love to see expansion at Wichita State. It seems to be getting a lot of exposure over the last few years and the 2 flagship schools are so expensive! I think people are really starting to look at some of those alternatives in-state. I'd be much more supportive of Alpha Xi going to Wichita State (go shockers!) or Emporia State, or Pittsburg... than KU.

I shamelessly plug WSU every chance I get! My high school fed K-State and to a lesser extent KU; during my time only a few students chose WSU. It's a fantastic place to get an education, and they have a unique urban environment with new dorms that help support students who want a more traditional experience.

The basketball team's rise to consistently great performance in the NCAA tournament has only helped a great school get more recognition!

Actually, they were at 2030 on Monday. And freshman quota last year was 90 or 95 (forget which) and UC quota was 10.
