Chapter: Il Iota
Status: active until May 2010
Current office: VP Administration
Why did you pledge Pi Phi? I felt that Pi Phi was where I fit. I felt a tug towards Pi Phi during the pref round, and knew that I that was my home.

Hello everyone!
Chapter: Indiana Zeta (Ball State)
Status: New Member -- soon to be active on this upcoming Saturday (yay Initiation!)
Current Office: None as of right now.
Why did I pledge Pi Phi? Going through informal recruitment, I was able to choose which sororities I wanted to visit for recruitment. Pi Phi was the one that I felt a true connection towards, and I've been addicted ever since! =)

Hey, everyone!! It looks like this board isn't active anymore, but maybe a few people still pop their heads in now and then!
Chapter: Arizona Gamma (Northern Arizona University)
Status: Active Member (initiated in March 2008!!)
Current Office: Webmaster
Why did I pledge Pi Phi? I never thought I'd be a Greek, and never ever thought to rush. Spring Recruitment, I was sent an e-mail from the VP Membership and my mom actually told me to go to Welcome Night just to go meet some people and get out of my room. I'm an athlete, so wasn't that thrilled, but I was so happy after that night that I went back for the next night, then the next (never realizing I was "rushing"). I couldn't make Pref Night (the one regret I have!) due to a track meet, but I was offered a bid nonetheless. It never actually hit me that I had pledged until I was initiated. No regrets at all. I love it so much and I love meeting new sisters! It makes me so excited!

hello!
Chapter: (I'd rather not post this til I graduate but I am at an SEC school)
Status: Active (pledged Fall '06)
Current office: ----
Why did you pledge Pi Phi? Honestly, I had put Pi Phi last on my bid list because I didn't feel like I connected with the girls. But, I gave the chapter a try, and here, almost 2 years later, I cannot believe I ever considered anywhere else.

Chapter: TN Gamma
Status: Active (pledged Spring '07)
Current office: Academics and Enrichment
Why did you pledge Pi Phi? I pledged Pi Phi because I felt at home walking into the suite (we do not have houses yet at UT). I knew once I started talking to girls that Pi Phi was where I belonged!

Status: New Member
Current offices: we don't have any yet!
Why did you pledge Pi Phi? I rushed when I started college (Fall '06) and nothing seemed to work out. I had committed to being non-Greek for my college career until Pi Phi started to colonize on our campus. Everything just clicked and now I love being a Pi Phi! We're new...Bid Day was only 2 weeks ago but we've already formed a sisterhood here!

Status: Active
Current Office: Chapter Archivist
Why did you pledge Pi Phi?: hen I was looking at colleges, I never thought I would join a sorority. I even eliminated schools I probably should have applied to, because they were "too greek." And throughout my first two years at NYU, I almost didn't know Greek life existed. But during my many hours at the NYU Office Student of Activities (I've been on the E-board for a club the past three years), I continuously walked past the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office. One day, I was walking by and there was a sign reading "Please Feel Free to Read these Materials." The sign was referring to presentation folders from four sororities presenting to NYU for the opportunity to colonize in the fall of 2008. I read each packet, and even though I didn't have any involvement in FSL at the time: I was secretly cheering for Pi Beta Phi.
Choosing Pi Beta Phi was easy for me because I think being a Pi Phi is something incredibly unique.
The semester has been a rollercoaster ( I'm changing the metaphor), but it has been the best semester I've had at NYU. As a Tisch student, I've always been isolated to that little corner of the university. But Pi Phi has allowed me to become part of the greater NYU community in a new way.
It's extremely rewarding to be surrounded by and supported by these collegiate women in addition to the thousands of alumnae in the NY area. When you stand alone, obstacles and challenges can easily hurt you and break you. But with my 83 NY Eta sisters, and 250,000+ International Pi Phi sisters, nothing can stop a Pi Phi sister from reaching her given potential.

Congrats iamqueena! I'm pretty sure your chapter's president letter was read to us during rush and some of our field reps that are helping us get started at MS Gamma visited with you guys!

mmmm... I don't think it was a letter from our president. Our president wasn't elected until late January. But maybe it was. Newbies unite!
