It was actually posted up here as well, I think that Brother Dever was the one who brought it up and actually saved the PDFs of it. I have copies if you are interested, or you can just seek him out and ask him.

As far as losing something through the changes, I suggest asking Brother Jono since he wrote the article.

Oh, updated colors IS a good idea.

I like it. I know our colors are "purple, green and gold" but in the world of color, that isn't very specific.

We should have a unique shade of each of those. Something with a Pantone value for reproduction.

The Coat of Arms is currently be created and standardized in a vector format by the Lambda Chi Alpha Graphics Committee (made up of Alumni), helping Jason Pearce and Chris Barrick at LCA Int. HQ. I would imagine that a .SVG file will be available when it is complete. Jeff R. 13:41, 26 April, 2007

-Wikipedia's LXA talk page

I knew I'd find it eventually. By the loss of detail comment, I meant that I was wondering if they were going back to higher details in this version. I'll have to find Dever or Pearce and ask'em. Anyone know how to get ahold of them?

GZ, I'm sure that royal purple, kelly green, and old gold are pretty specific colors, though even within these, I'm sure there is still some leeway.

ZAX,

Pantone palatte

I believe that Pantone colors are a part of the plan.

You can contact Jason Pearce off of the LXA web site.

Dever has not been around for awhile though.

I have noticed over the years that the colors seemed to have faded more and more though. Not nearly as vibrant.

Mike, thanks for another nice article on our history. Somehow Kappa-Mu got changed to Kappa-Nu (probably from the confusion with Theta Kappa Nu), and I totally missed principle/principal while proof reading, but it just goes to show none of us is perfect, and we're all human.

On the bright side, I got a kick out of Chris's story about Ron Paul. Maybe I shouldn't have written a comment, but I did anyway. Hey, it's a free country.

I OBJECT!

Under Chapter News, Boston Area Alumni Association, it says 30 members of the Alpha Chapter were present.

However, it FAILED to mention that there were ALSO members of Gamma Zeta in attendance, and considering the time of the event, still had some brothers there.

Actually it say, "Approximately 30 alumni and six undergraduates attended the Boston Area Alumni Association reception held on October 11, 2007, at the Sheraton Newton Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts. Attendees included Executive Vice President Bill Farkas (Butler 1988), Associate Director of Alumni Relations Josh Lodolo (Cal State-Northridge 2004), Order of Merit recipient and Boston University Chapter Adviser Eric Berger (Boston 1985), and former Fraternity staff members Kelley McCormick (McGill 1980) and Chad Tino (Worcester 1999)." Its doesn't mention that they were from the Alpha chapter, just that their advisor was there.

Still, since it was under the heading Boston Area Alumni Association, it would have been nice to see the words Gamma Zeta in the article. It is very misleading.

The December Cross & Crescent Magazine is On-line!

Brothers,

The electronic Cross & Crescent Magazine is now available. This issue marks the beginning of its third year in this format. This issue brings the total amount of new material published about our Fraternity to 400 pages or about the content of 12 paper issues of the magazine. On time and as promised!

Jono has written a great article about The Paedagogus and its many incarnations over the year. As always, well researched and informative content. Can't wait to read part 2 of the article next month.

Great job, Jono!

Stay tuned.

Yours in ZAX,

Mike Raymond,
Z-U Zeta

Jono, another great job.

That is one of the sections that I dealy love to read. I am amazed the transition of our Paedagogus and when it was originaly started and shows once again how LXA are leaders in the Fraternal world.

Thank you again for an informative history section.

So which fraternity copied the Ped.? It didn't say in the article to be PC, so I figured I'd asked here.
