So this is not quite as "interesting" as the gift PM_Mama00 found, but I gave it a double take. http://www.findgift.com/gift-ideas/pid-52634/

I was at a benefit this weekend, and they had something like 250+ themed gift baskets to be raffled off. One of them was a "night in" basket with DVD's, hot chocolate, popcorn, etc., and a SNUGGIE! I'm not going to lie....I wouldn't have been disappointed had I won it.

I was listening to the radio this morning and at about 1 am the inventor of the "slanket" emailed tons of radio and other news people to call them to rally behind him. Apparently, CNN did a report on the Snuggie and used pictures ripped from the Slanket website. He was ticked off about it, said his product was way better quality, and asked all newspeople to tell their listeners about the shoddy reporting from CNN.
Then the radio guy said "all it is is a bathrobe you wear backwards"...that made me LOL, b/c it's what I always say.

It's official. I bought my mom 2 burgundy Snuggies for her birthday (complete with free booklights).

I've got a strong hunch I'm going to be getting one from my husband soon - who thinks I'm such a dork, but thinks it's funny.
(And I'm not scared of you, Rashid - I'm tougher than I look, you know! )

The room in which I teach 4 dual credit classes is always FREEZING - we joked about getting Snuggies . . .

My mom wants a Snuggie, and I am NOT succeeding in talking her out of it.
The only good thing is apparently she's too lazy to order one (according to her) so she wants to see if it'll show up at Walgreens or something.

The robot booklight is cool but does not have batteries. I keep hurting my fingers trying to open it.

That's a good idea. If I weren't doing a facilitation in class tomorrow, I might bring mine.

My boyfriend has been wary of the Snuggie. He had only briefly used it (as a blanket only; he ignored the sleeves) until this weekend when he got a fever.
Now I have incriminating photos of his full-out chillin in the Snuggie eatin ice cream. (He blames his behavior on fever-induced delusions.)
