I missed the show on Wednesday, but thanks to the youtube gods, I have been saved and someone posted the whole show in 4 parts, I just got to watch the whole thing (with no commercials! score!).
I don't have any gripes about the female side, they all seem very talented and no one annoys me (so far ), although I don't remember hearing 2 or 3 of the final 12 ever sing, so we'll see. I like the little itty bitty girl with the huge voice, I think she'll do well.
On the guys' side, I first of all am MEGA impressed that they didn't put little Josiah and his sad story through. I liked him on his first audition show but was really annoyed by him at the end of Hollywood week. Like someone else said, he could have been this season's "Sanjaya", keep getting the sympathy vote through and just annoy, annoy, annoy for weeks. So, yay, no Josiah.
I do think that Danny kid is going to get old quickly, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Michael Johns, the Australian, and I think that little 16-year-old will do well. And the long-haired rocker dude had a much prettier voice than I expected to hear come out of him, he might do well. Oh, and I'm glad they let David Hernandez through too, I thought he had a great audition.
Every season I tell myself I'm going to stop watching this show, but then every season, I get sucked in.... and here I am, I can't wait for next week!

I've only picked up bits and pieces of this season, but the one who has stood out most to me is the Janice Joplin sound-alike. I think they said she was a nurse

Awwww, I'm sad to see Michael Johns on the list. (I still like him, though )

Personally, I don't have an issue with any of the people who appeared on other TV shows (like Jason Yeager - Making The Band, Jason Castro - Cheyenne, Syesha Mercado - The One) or those who have opened up for musical acts I have never heard of (Brooke White for Phil Vassar...who?), but it sucks that Idol is breaking their own rules and allowing people who have record deals or ties to other artists into the competition. As much as I like Carly and Michael's voices, it does lower my opinion of them.
I'm surprised the website didn't make a bigger deal about Robbie Carrico (of the pop group Boyz and Girlz United). Sure, they weren't that popular but they were probably one-rung down from O-Town or S Club 7.

I dug David Cook just now. I loved his song and execution of the song...he gotta fix the hair and scruff though.

Yeah, I feel sorry for him though...we haven't even seen him until now...there is no way he'll get voted through.

Wow, most of those performances last night where BORING.
I liked all three Davids (Hernandez, Cook, and Archuleta). I also liked Danny's and Robbie's performances.
Going Home? Luke and Jason (or, alternately, Garrett). They were sub-par and haven't had any screentime.

I hope the girls can bring it tonight cause the boys were a snoozefest. The first guy(?) had a good voice but no stage presence, Chikeze was prety good vocally but he looks 40 and was talking back(hopefulyl someone gets to him and tell him to tone it down before its too late), I cant even remember who was next. That 17 year old David was good but I wasnt as floored as the judges... everybody else was boring and the last guy was decent but again I wasnt wowed.

I think his style was kind of a minimalist jack johnson. I certainly didn't like him as much as I liked little David Archulette (what a cutiepie) but I'd like to see him perform some other stuff before seeing him leave.
