I joined through COB after I had to drop out of rush, and I thought it was really great-you know that they are all really interested in YOU!

I don't want to say too much, but this is a GREAT year for COR at UK. GOOD LUCK!

Well, there are usually several chapters doing COR after rush, so if this is a typical year, then you'll have a few to look at.

Back when I rushed, I found COR to be a much better fit for me. More personal, I guess. Good luck!

note: just this last year, it was very clearly noted in the panhel recruitment rules that you are NOT to EVER ask a PNM what other house(s) she is going to, what she thought of them, etc. A huge no-no and could result in stiff penalties. That was the policy at Minnesota, anyway. I know many larger greek schools do things quite differently sometimes, though.
And in regards to COB, I was pretty sure that I did NOT want to go through formal recruitment, so I joined through COB, and later was COB chair for my chapter. In my opinion it is not only less-stressful, but you can be more personal with your potential sisters, conversations are less forced, and you can talk about more topics (that were taboo during formal, etc)- in other words, just get a better feel for the sisters and chapters.
CuriousWildcat, I am really impressed with how well you did during formal recruitment and your great attitude!
Enjoy your school year and GOOD LUCK with COB!

CuriousWildcat, I'm sorry you didn't have a full week of rush, but I'm excited to hear you'll be looking into COR! Those events are a lot more relaxed and you'll get to know folks better during those. Good luck and keep us updated!

COR = informal recruitment
Thanks... I wasn't directly effected and hope that you aren't either... but my thoughts and prayers are with the families of flight 5191. How sad to be married for less than 12 hours...
