From mediatakeout.com:
****EXCLUSIVE****
June 28. After Jamie Foxx's actions during last night's BET Awards, people were left wondering whether there's trouble between the Oscar winning actor and Kanye West. MediaTakeOut.com has uncovered that the two artists have been feuding for months.
The feud started earlier this year when, while the two were rehearsing their Grammy performance, West reportedly told the multi-platinum selling Foxx to "stand back and watch a real star perform." The usually calm Foxx flew into a rage and stormed out of the rehearsal. Jamie was later overheard telling his publicist, "does this n***a know who I am? Did he see the Academy Awards?"
During last night's BET Awards, the animosity between the two superstars was noticeable. When the pair won the award for Best Duet/Collaboration, Kanye West tried to ease the tension by profusely thanking Foxx for the collaboration.
But Jamie Foxx wasn't ready to make peace. While West was giving his acceptance speech, Jamie Foxx stood behind him making faces and, at one point, held a portable fan behind Kanye's head (see the below photos). When it was Foxx's turn on the mic he simply shouted "Three-six mafia, I'll see you baby." Three-six Mafia won an Oscar earlier this year for the soundtrack to the movie Hustle and Flow.
MediaTakeOut.com managed to catch up with Jamie Foxx late last night at a Los Angeles hot spot. When asked why he held up a fan behind Kanye West, Jamie responded, "someone had to cool that n***a off."

Thanks RD! It sounds like to me that Ye meant to make a joke and Jamie took it the wrong way. He really needs to get over himself.
Something told me UB #2 was James Brown.

LMAO!!!!!!!! No she didn't say her eyes are bad!!!!!!!!! I saw a snippet of her and Paris doing something, they were eating food or something like that, and she didn't seem too bright then either.

First Moesha...now Brenda Walsh (E! News)
In the wake of Star Jones Reynold's abrupt decampment from The View last week, the powers-that-be at the ABC chatfest are looking to steer clear of cohost drama. Accordingly, they've gone and hired Shannen Doherty.
Yes, that Shannen Doherty.
The Barbara Walters-led talk show has unveiled a slate of upcoming guest hosts to temporarily fill the vacated fourth seat, with Doherty, Katherine McPhee, Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and champ Kelly Monaco tag-teaming.
At first blush, Doherty, 35, seems the most unexpected option to sub in on The View, considering a history of diva-like behavior that led to her exits from Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, among other offscreen troubles. Then again, Doherty's antics could be considered small beans when compared to a certain ex-lawyer and former talk show host.
Reynolds, who has been offering up the sordid details of her departure on the talk-show circuit since leaving on June 28, wasn't supposed to leave The View right away. But her quick departure has forced producers to scramble for viable replacements.
The day after Walters' on-air confirmation that Reynolds would not be returning to the chatfest, One Life to Live's Renee Goldsberry sat with the remaining three yappers. While Goldsberry had previously acted as a guest cohost, her position as first out of the gate in the new wave of contenders was particularly noteworthy for her almost eerie resemblance to Reynolds.
Goldsberry also plays a lawyer on the soap, making it appear that Walters & Co. were seeking a very specific type to fill the Star gap.
America's Got Talent judge Brandy then logged time at the table last week and again on Friday's show, even receiving on-air kudos from Walters for a job well done. Meanwhile, All My Children's Susan Lucci joined the hijinks on Wednesday.
When it comes to Inaba and Monaco, it would seem the folks at The View clearly have a penchant for dancing...or maybe just ABC synergy.
Inaba, a choreographer who has appeared as a judge on the Alphabet net's reality competition for each of its two seasons, will fill in on Monday. Monaco was the winner of Dancing's first season and is a regular on another ABC soap, General Hospital. The 30-year-old actress, who has appeared on The View several times, takes the seat next Tuesday.
American Idol runner-up McPhee, meanwhile, is also scheduled to squeeze in some small-screen time in between dates for the American Idol summer tour, joining Walters, Joy Behar and fellow reality TV vet Elisabeth Hasselbeck for some small talk July 19.
The 22-year-old songbird, unlike some of the other revolving-door candidates, is likely not using her guest stint as an audition for the permanent gig, instead making it another promotional pit stop. Of course, all is dependent on her laryngitis clearing up.
Doherty, whose new reality show, Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty, premieres on the Oxygen network next month, is penciled in on The View for July 31 and Aug. 1.
There appears to be a method to The View brain trust's mining of soap operas and reality TV for cohosts. See: Kelly Ripa, who graduated from All My Children to Regis sidekick; and The View's own Hasselbeck, a former Survivor castaway.
In any case, The View is running out of time if it wants a permanent Star sub. The show will go on hiatus Aug. 4 and returns Sept. 5, with another new face as Rosie O'Donnell's takes over for the Today show-bound Meredith Vieira.
As for Reynolds, she's not wasting any time getting back to work. She's set to guest host HGTV's House Hunters all next week.

Like Mike! If I Could Be Like Mike!!
Local Man Sues Jordan, Nike for Resemblance
02:27 PM PDT on Friday, July 7, 2006
By PAT DOORIS for kgw.com
A Northeast Portland man is suing basketball superstar Michael Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight for a combined $832 million. Allen Heckard filed the suit himself, June 29th in Washington County Court. Heckard says he’s been mistaken as Michael Jordan nearly every day over the past 15 years and he’s tired of it.
“I'm constantly being accused of looking like Michael and it makes it very uncomfortable for me,” said Heckard.
Heckard is suing Jordan for defamation and permanent injury and emotional pain and suffering. He’s suing Knight for defamation and permanent injury for promoting Jordan and making him one of the most recognized men in the world.
Heckard stands just over six feet tall. He is not six foot six like the real Michael Jordan. But Heckard says many people seem to miss that. He does share a bit of resemblance to the real Michael Jordan. Heckard has a shaved head, an earring in his left ear, and is in good shape from working out, and yes, playing basketball.
“Even when I go to the gym I'm being accused of playing ball like him (Jordan), said Heckard."
Most people would consider that a high compliment.
"Yes...don’t get me wrong it’s definitely a positive thing, because Michael, like I say is one of the best ball players that I've known to play the game. But then again, that's Michael and I'm me. So I want to be recognized as me just like Michael's being recognized as Michael."
Dressed in blue Air Jordan tennis shoes, Heckard might seem to be actually trying to look like Jordan but Heckard doesn’t see it that way.
"They're very comfortable shoes to play ball in,” said Heckard. “I play a lot of basketball and any other shoes I try to play in tend to hurt the bottom of my feet."
“I got a right to buy Nike or Adidas or what ever, so I chose the Nike because its a good shoe for me to play ball in,” he said.
Heckard agreed that not everyone thinks he’s a famous basketball player, but insisted a lot of people do mistake him for Jordan.
"I figure if I'm out in public and around a lot of people at least three or four times out of a crowd ...and like I was at the Blues Festival and you could see people they was pointing at me," he said.
Some might wonder how he decided to sue Knight and Jordan for $416-million each. "Well, you figure with my age and you multiply that times seven and ah, then I turn around and ah I figure that's what it all boils down to."
The question remains – is the occasional confusion with an admired celebrity worth $800 million.
“Well,” said Heckard, “You never can put a value on a person's life. You know you're taking my lifestyle away from me. So you know...we'll let the ball bounce like Michael does...where it’s supposed to fall."

Is it me or that guy doesn't look like Jordan? Also, if he is suing Jordan for being so popular, he also needs to sue the NBA, Gatorade, Hanes and Eveready batteries becasuse Mike endorces them too.

see, this story right here ^^ is why I'm in favor of sanctions for filing "frivilous" (sp) lawsuits. I've read this story like three times and still don't see a hint of merit in his claim. Wait a minute, let me check....is this April 1?
see where are Judge(s) Hatchett, Mabeline, Bruhs Mathis & Joe Brown when you need them? lol

No, that guy doesn't look like Mike. He might look like Mike's dad, or Mike's cousin, but he doesn't look like Mike.
This guy just wants to get his face out there on the off chance that he might get some sort of work for "looking" like Michael Jordan.

Real World:Key West housemate arrested (AP)
CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) -- A cast member on MTV's "The Real World" was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge after police said she bit her boyfriend during a domestic dispute.
Paula Ann Meronek, 25, allegedly bit her boyfriend several times when he refused to let her into their home early Sunday morning, police said. "I think it was an argument that led to one thing then another," said Cromwell Police Chief Anthony Salvatore. "He attempted to keep her from the house. It got physical and we were contacted." Meronek, who was arraigned Monday, was charged with third-degree assault, which carries a potential penalty of a year in prison. She is due back in court Aug. 11. No lawyer was listed in court documents.
Her boyfriend, John Alyward, was charged with disorderly conduct. The arrest was first reported by The Middletown Press. "The Real World," now in its 17th season, puts seven strangers together in an exotic locale -- this time in a Key West, Fla., beach house.
A call to the show's producer was not immediately returned.

Member of The Commodores dies (AP)
HOUSTON (July 11) - Milan B. Williams, one of the original members of the Commodores, died after a long battle with cancer. He was 58.
Williams died Sunday at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, said JoAnn Geffen, a spokeswoman for the band.
Williams, who played keyboards, was one of the founding members for the Commodores, which formed in 1968 while all the members were in college at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. The group, whose best known member was singer Lionel Richie, had a series of hits during the 1970s and 1980s, including "Brick House," "Easy" and "Three Times A Lady." Williams wrote the band's first hit, "Machine Gun."
"He was once, twice, three times a brother and we love him. He gave all that he could give to the Commodores. He'll always be remembered," said band member Walter Orange.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Bruno-Williams, and two sons from previous marriages, Jason and Ricci. The funeral will be on Friday in Okolona, Miss., where Williams was born. There will be a memorial service in Los Angeles in August.
