Cool, that is me that she quoted. I am so excited for her. I mean it is kind of funny that all of us have check this forum a million times, but I remember BID Day and the first thing on my mind wasnt telling a bunch of GC'rs what sorority I chose. (then again GC wasnt around when I was in school actually WWW wasnt big yet when I was in school)
So she is either pepperann or doug (or the other 2 but i forgot them) I assume Doug since that is where she preffed.
woo hoo

Being the dork that I am and being how internet dependent I am (LOL). I'd probably find a way to post to let y'all know. LOL.
For me personally, I'd be like "they were supporting me I have to tell them". But that is just me and I'm a dork.
I just hope she is happy. With whatever happened.

I keep checking in too. I am at home with nothing to do. So what else do you expect me to think about?

Ladies (and Gents) -
Please calm down. When and if she posts, the thread will get tagged as unread and you can find out the outcome at that time.

Hi ladies. So I guess I owe yall an update. Well my internet at my apartment isn't working yet so I couldn't post. So sorry. I bet yall were as excited as I was b/4 ten on bid day. well I am now a very proud sister of Doug...........
Or as they are better known as Sigma Sigma Sigma. Yesssssss! I really had a great time with them and now I know I made the perfect decision. But yeah all the sororities at my school are great. PepperAnn was ADPi, BraceFace was ZTA, and Lizzie was AXO.
I feel a real connection with these girls so all is great. I went out to eat twice. First with all my new sisters, and then later with a select few. I really feel a good connection to the girl I talked to on Pref night. Thanks so much to you all for all your encouragement and good wishes that helped me see the silver lining and not miss out on such a great experience. Next weekend we are having a sisterhood retreat. Yay for getting even closer to my sisters.

Congratulations to you! I'm glad you found a place to be happy, and I'm sure that since you put SOO much thought into your decision, it is definitely the right one for you. Now, a thought.... While recruitment is fresh on your mind, take a few minutes to write down some thoughts about your chapter's recruitment process. Remember things you liked and things you disliked (I know you have them cause you've mentioned them in your thread!). Chances are, your chapter's recruitment chair will do a survey / questionnaire to get some feedback from the new member class. Remember to be constructive in your criticism - it is important to know when they are doing something wrong that could turn potential members off in the future. Things like saying "We really really really want you," (which could even be an infraction depending on SHSU's recruitment guidelines - it is at ETSU). Even if one of the officers doesn't do a written survey, you'll have your notes for when the new recruitment chair takes office and begins planning for the next formal recruitment period.
Then to a lesser extent, make a note of things you might have liked in other chapters. And I'm not talking chapter-specific things like philanthropy and skit that you would be "ripping off." I'm thinking things like how many of their members you talked to, something that was said to you that made an impression....
Again, congratulations and best wishes in your new sorority! We don't have a Sigma Sigma Sigma, so I don't know much. But I know JocelynC seems awfully cool on GC!

Either way...
I am so happy that you stuck with it and found your home!!!!
If I could give you a hug I would.
Next best thing...

If you don't mind my asking, did your roommate pledge Sigma Sigma Sigma as well?
