What would you NOT name your child?

There's been alot of talk about "bad names". So I'm wondering have any of you thought about legally changing your name if you don't like your given name?

Has anyone just changed their name for the fun of it?

I legally changed my name when I was 21. I was born Cindy, but felt that I'd be taken more seriously if my legal name was Cynthia.

My bio sister has a friend named April with sisters May and June - no lie.

I knew girls in H.S. named Amethyst, Mystery, and Dixie

The Phuc thing got my thinking. My dad is a sales trainer (he teaches people how to sell stuff) and he has classes all the time. People get flown in from China and Japan and what have you all the time, he's used to that...But this one time they had a Norweigan (SP?) class and one guy (my dad says he was like the class clown) was named Geicgh (or something similar). Pronounced: Geek. I understand cultural differences and whatever, but my poor dad said he couldn't bear saying the guy's name without almost laughing. I can't say I wouldn't do the same.

ETA: Friend of mine has a daughter named Diamond. Oy.

Not a name like mine, which is the flip side of the April/Apryl thing. My name looks like a "normal" name, but not pronounced in a normal way.
This makes people so confused.

I would not name my hypothetical children Mulva, Bovary, Gipple or anything that rhymes or sounds like a part of the human anatomy.

I babysit kids named Storm and Harleigh.
My dad went to school with Marcia Mello. She had a sister named Cara.
My godchild's name is Falin Kenadi.

My ex-boyfriend's sister's name is Savannah...which I think is pretty.

I go to school with a Zhalet (pronounced Shah-lay), Ilona (pronounced Ill-on-ah), Andrina, Lelia, Gypsy, and a Dunja (pronounced Done-yuh). I think those are pretty names though.

I will never name my future daughter Francis or Francesca because I HATE the nickname Fran/Franny/Frannie/etc.

I don't mind the name Shawn but I will never spell it Sean because I hate that and always read it "SEEN"

There was a girl named Harley who came through recruitmentment this year, and before Pref, the girl who was going to be preffing her was like, "We need to get this girl! There NEEDS to be a girl in this house named Harley!" (Unfortunately Harley ended up going AEPhi.)

There is also a girl in my house named Bryttannee, whom I adore, but the name is a bit too much, veering off in that stripper-esque directions with all of the Tyffanis and Mitzis. We also have a Tiffany (whom I'm pretty sure is legitimately a Tiffany and not a Tyffani) and a Stephani.

There was a girl named Lynzi who went to my middle school.

Another thing that gets on my nerves: Naming your children things such as Buffy, Barbie, Bambi, Lula, Honey...I can just feel their brain cells diminishing by the second. Remember, you ARE your name.

Buffy is actually short for Elizabeth. Apparently the Queen Mum was called Buffy by family members.

How the heck do you get "Buffy" from Elizabeth??? I understand Eliza, Liz, Beth, etc...but Buffy?
Although I bet there are probably some silly young mothers out there who liked the TV show so much that they named their daughters Buffy. Silly, silly people.
(Not that I can really talk. My mom heard the name Erin on the Waltons and liked it so much that that's what she named me. But at least Erin doesn't sound like a stripper name.)

"Bob" from Robert? (should be Bobert....IMO)
