Like I said earlier, and my comments are based upon my own personal experience -- AOIIForever will most likely be enjoying Bid Day activities tonight. Remember, she's been disaffiliated for quite a while now! I hope that once she's rested up from the excitement of being a Recruitment Counselor she'll stop by and share the news about her sister with all of us on GC.

WOW! I never expected this kind of reaction to our little story! This is awesome. I am SO sorry for making you wait so long, but I have been really busy this week and this was my first chance to post.

Ok so this is what happened. She went to AGD, AOII, SK, and ADII on Friday. She really wanted to return to #5 and #4, her two favorites out of this group, but #5 was definatly higher than #4.

Well saturday morning here was our Kick-off day so the Rho Gammas had to be there at like 8:30 am. Well of course I was nervous for her but I was not really thinking about it until my cell phone rang while I was waiting with some others to be let into the SAC. When I looked at the number, I knew exactly who it was, and my heart sank. The girl was the recruitment chair for the Alpha Chi Chapter of AOII and had to tell me that they decided to release LilSis, and they were sorry but they thought she would be a better fit somewhere else. I was really upset and crying that she had gotten cut, until I talked to her and she said she was kind of dissapointed, but although they were her favorite at that point, she knew she really didn't fit in with them all that well as a whole... does that make sense?
Anyway she was invited back to two houses, #4 and #6
She really wanted #4. So the next day while me and my partner were manning AOII's porch for first rounds, She called to let me know that she got her choice and is now a proud member of....

She was so excited and was getting ready for her bid day!
I'm happy she found a place for her.

On the flip side I had the most fun I've ever had being a Rho Gamma!!!!!!!!! It was probably the best thing I ever did. I got really close with 10 sorority women, not in my own sorority, and had a blast at the hotel and during recruitment. Me and my roomates at the hotel (a Pi phi -my partner, a Chi-o and a KD) became extreemly close, and although I was so excited to return to my own chapter, I was equally sad to leave my Rho Gammas, whom I'd become so close to.

Congratulations to your sister and Sigma Kappa!!! I am sure it must be hard to have your sister go somewhere else, but you seem to have handled it like a true adult. I'm glad she is in a house she is really happy with! And I'm glad you had fun as a Rho Gamma!!!!
