I guess it's different depending on what campus and group you belong to, all i'm saying that there are honor GLO's out there that operate just like social GLO.
Jumping on the hijack bandwagon, may I ask what honor fraternity this is, PiKA2001? It sounds a lot like mine, Phi Sigma Pi, and I know we have a chapter at CMU.
And PSP is a LOT like a social sorority/fraternity in the ways metioned by PiKA2001 and more, except for obvious factors like us being co-ed. We joke sometimes that PSP is like Greek for geeks.

This is ridiculous, You guys are jumping all over this girl's case. I think people are over reacting and just wanting to make a big deal out of nothing. I am especial shocked at the fact you are putting her down and not just her ideals. The behavior on this board is horrible and I think a lot of people need an attitude adjustment. I mean really some of these post are down right rude and hurtful! For once can we all try to be kind and maybe help her out. If you don't have anything nice to say then keep it to yourself.

Many of us tried to help her and got rude feedback as well. Yes we got frustrated and we shouldn't have acted the way we did. However, I do not take back anything I've said. I do not appreciate when people try to help someone and they don't listen and just keep saying the same thing over and over again.

But I am done with this. It's my last post.

I'm not sure why...

...cristinasmile does not PM wishinhopin -- if anyone could give the kind of advice she (cristina) is seeking, it's wishinhopin!! Don't y'all agree?!

Cristina -- that is my advice to you -- get yourself a cup of coffee and read this thead -- it took me quite a while to read it but wishinhopin has been where you seem to be now....please please please please do read it!

James,

There is nothin mean about my post. Perhaps you should read some of the comments that she sent to members of GC. When something you hold so proud and dear to your heart is being taken as something it isn't and without permission, you stand up. cristina means well, I know this, but, and I stated this before, why must it be referred to Sigma Kappa (whatever) and be a women's group yet not a sorority? There is alot of violation in some of her posts, not only to my organization, but to the values and moral systems as Greeks. I have tried to help this woman, but when it comes to a point to which she has brought it, there is a time where I must put my foot down. I know local sorority members who are standing with me on this situation.... if she wants an organization, she should make it unique..... she asked us for new member education textbooks, information on our colors and symbols, and there is alot of similarity b/t her organization she originally planned and Sigma Kappa. I work for a copyright violations lawyer, things were suspicious. Maybe if you could see this as not trying to be mean, just fed up.

The school in question (Mount Ida College) doesn’t even exist anymore- it’s now part of UMass Amherst.
