I think one of my favorite parts is always right after they find out that they have won.. their expressions are priceless
I love the quiz portion.. I think its great that they ask them history questions.. bc frankly its sad when they dont know questions that someone in college should know.. if you dont.. wow.. some of the current ones are hard but come on some of those other questions..

According to him, everyone in the competition was hot . . . he was the pits. And isn't that Jennifer Lopez's sister?? She said that she didn't like Miss Florida's hat in the casual competition. She should have kept her silly little mouth shut because she was all over the gal with the floral jacket who wasn't even in the running. Down with unnecessary commentators!!

I completely forgot about the show. I just turned it on. I totally don't even care that I know who wins either. LOL.
I'm in the middle of the swimsuit competition. Has the talent competition already passed?
Who the hell is this announcer he already bugs me. I can't believe he just made such a sexist comment on national television.
Trista and Ryan are commentators. What?
Oh and FYI, out of sheer and complete boredom earlier today. I looked up every single contestant. Here was how the greek standings came out.
Louisana- Sigma Kappa
Alaska- Gamma Phi
I think the rest are honor ones, if I'm wrong please correct me.
Iowa- Sigma Pi Delta
Nevada- Sigma Alpha Iota
Rhode Island-Phi Beta Kappa
Illinios- Alpha Lambda Delta
North Dakota- Sigma Theta Tau
Tennessee- Kappa Delta Pi
Maryland- Omicron Delta Kappa
Mississippi- Omicron Delta Kappa
Nebraska- Alpha Phi Omicron and Delta Phi Delta
New Mexico- Phi Alpha Delta law society
Wisconsin was also in one, I just forgot to write it down
Finally, Kansas was in the Order of Omega. Doesn't that mean that she would have had to have been in a NPC sorority?

Yes, I can know who won and not even have to watch it!
Clay is currently singing in the WEST COAST version of the show that just started.............
Now I can watch for all the annoying things you all pointed out.

Congrats to Miss Florida and DST!
Interesting tidbit about Miss Hawaii Kanoe Gibson. Last year a local radio station sponsored a Hawaii American Idol contest, the winner getting an all expenses paid trip to LA to audition. Kanoe was part of the contest but came in 2nd to Jordan Segundo -- who made it to the top 32. Jordan, a high school senior, was so smitten over Kanoe that he ended up asking her and taking her to his senior prom (despite the age difference, haha).
Kanoe is such a beautiful person inside and out and she comes from a very loving and talented family. She embodies the true meaning of aloha and she's represented our state well. It's not often that a kid from Hawaii can be up there in the national spotlight! Too bad she's not Greek!
Congratulations to Kanoe, Miss Florida, and the other contestants in this year's Miss America!
And no...it hasn't aired yet in Hawaii, but dumbass Sandy couldn't wait so she went online and looked up the results.

I'm in the middle of watching the evening gown competition. I love how the women choose an escort. So sweet. I love how Florida chose her brother. How sweet. I'm already happy that she wins cause she is just plain adorable.
Woo hoo I haven't missed the talent yet.
hannahgirl, thanks for the info. Her bio only said order of omega, it didn't say what chapter she was a member of, that's why i asked.

I echo some of the earlier comments. Could have definately done without the "viewing party"
The funniest thing to me was after the announced her Miss America and the host asked her for a comment she said something like "let me hear you say it again!" Too cute! I was also cracking up when the old Miss America was trying to put on her crown and Ericka kept popping up and down. As soon as she would get the crown on her head and try to start putting the pins in Ericka would pop up again. Too funny!!!
Congrats to the ladies of DST! I hope she has some time on her schedule to attend some regional conferences or National convention on something next year!

Erica is too adorable.
Love her comment. That was great. Yes!!!! She rocks.
I love how honest CA is about how she can't cook. LOL.
Maryland is also adorable, football, what a great answer.
Wisconsin, dude she didn't get a funny question. Blah.
Hawaii, also not a very funny question. agian, blah.

How socially relevant was the question about "bling, bling"? I didn't like the quiz portion . . . and it is 5%?? I think they could have done without it -- and it can't be said enough that the commentators were horrible.
