Oh, but of course! I used to put Unleaded "Plus" in my vehicle when I would travel. Regular unleaded is ALL I'm going to use.

Charlotte
unleaded is 1.85 - 1.89
I can honestly say that this summer will feature a lot of A/C less driving.

It's been above $2/gal for the better part of a week now... At work I heard one resident say that gas in some parts of FL are at $4/gal .. . . Don't know how true that is.
I did hear, on the news, that national average per gallon is supposed to hit $3/gal by the end of the summer before it goes back down.
edited because I can't type most of the time.....

In MD/VA/DC
regular-$1.95-$2.04
Mid grade-$2.07-2.14
Premium-$2.20-$2.35
My mother said she saw $2.79 in DC. This is getting ridiculous. It literally went up everyday last week from Tuesday on. Literally. From $1.87 on Tuesday for midgrade to $2.14 Saturday, same station.

I hate this so much! $2.15 a gallon for gas! I'd take the bus if the Transit Authority hadn't cut most of their services and routes!

I've seen that here too. I am getting angry about the crazy prices too. My vehicle is a guzzler too...crazy! I filled up on $2.05 yesterday though. I shop for my gas these days.

It was said on the TJMS that 5/19/04 is the day for everyone to boycott the gas companies. It was said that if everyone not buy gas on this day that it will be enough net loss to not only shut down some gas companies or allow thier stocks to drop. This was said to show the gas companies "We're not gonna take it!" for all those who have seen Dave Chapelle's first stand up
So fill up on 5/18/04

I just filled up this morning for $2.099/g (premium - my car requires the good stuff ). I have a long commute, so I'm buying gas every three days. I buy no-name gas; my car hasn't complained yet.
The Mobil next to the gas station where I fill up gets $2.249/g for premium. It's deserted, while there are long lines where I fill up, and I've seen people nearly come to blows over "who was there first".
I saw a gas station in NYC selling premium for $2.479/g.
