Skee-Wee Sorors!

HC I am just welling up by reading the posts in this thread....

Yes, we say things about being duplicated, and how every woman was not meant to be AKA and so on, but I don't think words can convey HOW serious our sisterhood is!
From the looks of adoration and envy I get when you see my license plates, to the special treatment I receive when people see my lavalier...AKA is a very good place to be!

I too am a AKAholic, can't get enough of my pretty pink and gorgeous green....

HC the people in all of the para shops of my hometown know me by name AND on the phone It's that deep sorors!

I work hard and play hard for AKA, until the day I die!

...to capture a vision fair...

I love you guys! All 180,000 of you!

SSSSKKKKKEEEEE-WWWWWEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Put the world on notice!

Why is it that y'all 'bout to make me cry up here too?

Why is it that Soror Norma Solomon White was too on point at out Founders' Day this past Saturday?

Why is it that she is such a dynamic speaker, and truly down to earth?

Why is it that when we sang ". . .and with a smile. . ." I had big ol' crocodile tears trying to leak out and embarrass me?

Why is it that there truly is no other like our Sisterhood?

Why is it: "Alpha Kappa Alpha" ?

Why is it that the hymn is SOMETHING ELSE?

Why is it that I am connected to every one of my sorors?

Why is it that I have already started networking?

Why is it that I got my first questions from an interest on *that* special evening?

Why is it that I told her "there was no other sorority in my mind"?

Why is it that I meant it?

Why is it that AKA is a serious matter?

Why is it...

that my chapter just brought in 7 lovely women

that the entire time I was filled with the spirit

that it felt so good to be on the other side this time

I was able to appreciate the beauty of it all without the nervousness

Why is it that just reading this post has me all filled with that Alpha Kappa Alpha spirit?

Why is it that I congratulate you and your neos Soror Abaici!

Why is it that (to you and my new sorors): "S-K Double E W Double E Skee wee my Sorors, Skee wee, Skee wee!"

Why is it that I am 2 months old tomorrow ?

Why is it that I still on a 'pretty in pink, georgeous in green' high?

Why is it that I'm still amazed to here the word 'Soror' in reference to lil' old me?

Why is it that we are the first black sorority and set the example for all others to follow?

Why is it that I NEEDED to bring this wonderful thread back up for all of my fellow neo Sorors who went the only way and are younger than me ?

Why is it that we have truly been "capturing a vision fair" since January 15, 1908?

Why is it that I LOVE MY AKA?

Skeeeeeeeeeee-Weeeeeeeeeeee!!

Compliments of Soror Maya AKAngelou:

Today was the first day that I encountered the sisterly bond that is so prominent in Alpha Kappa Alpha.

I go friend of mine works with a girl who is a soror. We had never met until today. Three weeks ago she bought me a sash for graduation on May 1. I couldnt wear it at commencement but I did put it on afterwards.

Today she and I met. She is so sweet. She gave me a hug and said "Call me if you need anything. I dont care what is. I could be just to talk or you need toilet paper. You call me first." Then she said she had a gift for me.

She is giving me a piece of Ivy that has been in her family for over 70 years. I almost started crying because that was so sweet. This goes to show that the bond of Alpha Kappa Alpha women is eternal and unbreakable.

Just wanted to share my thought. If anyone else has encountered such, please share your story.....

Thank you soror for posting that. I means a lot to me that she did that. Please excuse the spelling errors, I was a little excited.

..why is the bond of an Allllpha Kappa Allllpha woman unbreakable?

.....why is it that being a member of the GREATEST organization on the planet (right there with being a Christian) is feels so darn good?

Why is it that sorors can find each other seemingly out of nowhere?
Why is it that a neat LA based Soror sought us out and gave us hugs today?
Why is it that I was able to hang out with one of my LS, a few of our neos and my Boule roomie today?

Why is it that I'm still awed that I'm part of this great sisterhood?

Why was this my first thought when you spotted me in the vending area at Boule?
