Here is an article about it. I'm so outdone with this. Guilty until proven innocent...SMH http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/m...-just-a-kappa/
I shouldn't be surprised...I saw people saying Black people were throwing gang signs when they were throwing peace signs.

Where are all the NRA/Cliven Bundy folks calling for the citizens of Ferguson to arm themselves against government agents who shoot them down in the street?
Right.

I thought I read that it was initially erronously reported by CNN or some CNN blog site. Simple-mindedness will, I guess, be found among some segments of people. I would think CNN would know better, to at least research it.
One of my best friends is KAY, and we text all the time. He texts me: "Now that I know throwing up Nupie is a form of civil disobedience I'm doing it all day today."
a second text: "Don't shoot. (He's) a Nupe."

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. This should serve as a glaring example why people shouldn't jump to conclusions and go ape shit over false and misleading internet posts or "news" that can't be substantiated.

LOL! CNN is notorious for putting out erroneous reports just so they can break the news first.

It rained like crazy last night and there was a lot of lightning. Protests were small and peaceful.
The focus may be moving to Clayton (and the main St. Louis County courthouse), where the grand jury is sitting.

Reportedly, there are "fake protestors" joining the crowds. I saw a video of a man throwing a brick/rock at the police but the protestors called him out on not being a protestor but just trying to make the police get violent and to make the crowd look more aggressive than they are.
If that video truly depicted what it looks like it did then I am at a loss for words.

No, but a funeral is for the living, not the dead. No matter what Michael Brown did nor did not do, he left behind people who are grieving the fact that he is dead and that they will never see him again. As far as I'm concerned, Alpha Phi Alpha is reaching out to comfort people they don't even know, who possibly don't have the means to give their loved one the service they would like him to have. And that to me is a very classy gesture.

It started before the chief apologized. I think the burning memorial set it off and the chief apologized to try to calm it down. They also had some big community meetings, led by facilitators from the Justice Department, earlier in the week and those were tense. Productive, but tense.

I wouldn't doubt the "apology," or its timing, had something to do with reactions to the memorial burning.
I'd read reports that some of the Ferguson police, who are wearing armbands in support of Officer Wilson, stood doing nothing while the memorial burned. This ticked off community members, I'd guess.
...more concerned with the reports of breaches of police protocol (non filing of required incident reports) we're learning about in the aftermath of all this.
