WIFLSRN: So, this time I got text messages in our group text from my coffee friends that it’s too cold, lol. There’s a balcony off of our bedroom, and so I slid open the door, stepped onto the balcony and I was like “Ay ya yai!” I closed the door and jumped right back in bed, lol.

That’s a pretty cool hobby. One of my colleagues, who I teach with is really into collecting those. He’s shown me pictures of his collection, and he’s got a ton of them. Imperial Guard and Space Marines? They’re Warhammer, right? He also had some lizard-looking ones, though I’m not sure what they’re called. It seems like a fun and time-consuming hobby, but definitely a great way to spend your time.
I’m into something similar, but my focus is more on figures for automotive dioramas. I’ve seen some Warhammer dioramas, too, and they’re seriously impressive. Really fun to look at.

Glad your fraternity finally found an event classy enough to get you out, dim lights and music under 60 decibels, right? Haha.

My fraternity doesn’t seek class, we define it. Unfortunately, that’s a distinction some organizations have yet to attain, though Divine 9 stereotypes often speak to underlying truths.

Yeah both the Guard and Space Marines are 40k armies. If the lizard-like models look kind of inspired from the Aliens movies, then those would be the Tyranids, a hyper-advanced insect species. Warhammer 40k is the space dark fantasy/science fiction realm, but the same company also puts out models for The Old World and Age of Sigmar, which are closer to a traditional high fantasy as well as having the rights to make the Lord of the Rings tabletop game.
The great thing about The Hobby (what people into Warhammer call it) is that it's a very deep rabbit hole to dive into, but also lots of different avenues. Thousands of models to build and paint, several game formats and styles, and literally hundreds of books telling the lore of the universes. Even better than that is if you get bored of playing the game, you can just focus on another area of the hobby like the books or the painting or custom modelling. I used to use Audible when I landscaped and would go through 1-2 books a week while working.

Xant: “Look what I got!”

I knew PB was going to come back with something about everybody else’s fraternities being less than Lol!
I was about to roast the cartoon Kappa image but I’ll leave PB alone today since it’s his founders day.
Happy Founders Day, PB. Have fun at y’all’s banquet.

I remember the name now. They’re Tyranids. When he showed me pictures of his setup, his Imperial Guard setup stood out the most to me, because they looked kind of like an advanced WWII army. It was really amazing. This is interesting. What are the differences between the 40K armies vs the ones you’re painting? Can they mix the two when playing the game?
Yeah, I hear you on the YouTube’s. Interesting. Here’s some I subscribe to for my collection. The videos are great references.

Now, hold on, I never said any fraternity was less than mine. I just spoke mine into what it is. If that made you and some others feel smaller, that’s a reflection, not a statement. 😂

If you look at my post, I edited it because my brother (also a Nupe) sent me that image last night. I liked it. Here’s his text.
“Happy J5. You see the brotha on the far left? Minus the earring and lines in his hair, tell me he’s not your twin. If you were a cartoon, that’s exactly what you’d look like. 😆”
I had to do a double take and check my birth certificate to make sure I wasn’t secretly animated. I’m equal parts flattered and concerned that Pixar might owe me some royalties. 😂

Ah, indeed. Nice reply. I couldn’t agree more. 😂
When I look at my collection, nothing quite matches the sophistication of curating a collection where each piece whispers tales of engineering marvels and design brilliance. It’s not just “cooler toys” for me, it’s a celebration of artistry, history, and innovation, all neatly scaled to fit on my shelves.

Lmao. Wow! You have any pictures on the internet you don’t know about? They find pictures of people then photoshop the image and then put it on the net. You talk about your brother a lot. Are y’all close? Do y’all look alike?

PB and Xant meet on the playground:
Xant: “Cool hot wheels, bro! Wanna see my space monsters?”
PB: “Sure! Cool beans, bro! Will you be my friend?” (while peeling the crust off his dinosaur shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwich).
Xant: “Yeah. Let’s be buds!” (while drinking/eating milk and animal cookies).
Lmfao! I hollered!
Two grown ass fraternity dudes, playing with space marines and hot wheels Lol!!
What’s y’all’s wives have to say about this? Lol!

That cartoon guy looks like he raided PB’s closet, stole his face, and it’s honestly a little creepy. Ay ya yai, lol.
