Maybe because there would be those who would tank her daughter's R?

Maybe to be a little less obvious?

Please tell me you're joking. Someone would actually try to do that?

Yes. Several of us on these boards have had it happen to our daughters. Because some people reading these threads care more about their own sorority than about the PNM. And that's all I'm going to say about THAT.

That would be an excellent reason to post after the fact, when it is all said and done. Can't sabotage the past.

I'm sorry. Am I supposed to care more about some random girl on a messageboard more than Alpha Sigma Alpha? I missed that part of my ASA Handbook.

Yes, that statement seems a little out of place, doesn't it? Let me see if I can better clarify, without going into detail. For the MOST part, the people who read these threads, simply READ them. They don't try to get involved/interfere with the recruitment/campus itself.

Carnation - Congratulations! I'm sure she will enjoy her new sisterhood. She'll have to come visit the new Phi Mu HQ!

Yes to all the reasons listed above!

And thank you all for the wonderful support...she hasn't stopped rhapsodizing about what all she gets to/plans to do!

Y'all know the song "Cebu" from Veggietales? When one of her little brothers heard she was a Phi Mu, he started singing, "Phi Muuuuu! PhiMuMuMu, Phi MuMuMu'", etc., and I am going to freak because all day, that song has been in my head!

Carnation, do you have pictures of the crests that you have sewed? I'd love to see them!

HAHAHAHAHA! This will be the third straight day, I'm sure, that I can't get rid of that song in my head, complete with the honking animal.

Violetpretty, it'd be easy to take the picture with our digital camera--I'll try--but who knows if I'll be able to get it to show up on GC. Two are needlepointed and two are cross-stitched.

Carnation, if you use photobucket to post your pictures you should have no problems. Really easy to use and the links are already made, all you have to do is click inside of the box that says image code. It copies it for you, so all you have to do is paste it on here

I've never had a problem posting pictures from photobucket on message boards.

Hope to see those crests soon! I bet they're great!
