Being on the Grammy stage with Justin before you land a record deal is a pretty nice way to get your foot in the door. And who knows where that '3 min.' performance is going to take her. American Idol doesn't make a career every single time. Yeah, I do consider that to be a big deal. Maybe a little bigger considering she did not make it to the final 24.
Glad I could provide amusement for you.

I usually hate the way AI carries out all the auditions, but then you get the H'wood round and its like - oh, here are the top 24. I mean we haven't even had any air time with these people to know if we like them or not!
What happened to the girl from the first audition (I think) who said she was a crack baby? Is she in the top 24? That's really the only standout I remember from the auditions.

I've never seen the movie, so I have no idea.
Isn't the Hollywood round normally longer than a day? I seriously thought I had more time to pick who I liked. Right now I have NO clue.

There hasn't been a good looking guy to win Idol yet. Blake Lewis is my early front runner for eye candy and talent.

Lots of "meh" tonight. Blake, Brandon, Phil (once he got to the chorus), and Chris S. were good. A.J. was all right too. Everyone else = ZZZZZZ.

Not great tonight, but here are the guys I liked:
- Chris S.
- Jared
- Brandon
- Phil
- Paul
- AJ
- Blake
I hint for future contestants...
DO NOT sing Gavin or Edwin, you will suck compared to them.

Funny how I don't even remember the winner's name (let alone what she looks like) 2 weeks after the so-called huge moment.

I'm so there with you. That Keane song's one of my favorites and I was surprised to see the beatboxer doing it.
Looking at Sanjaya made me feel a bit perverted. I felt as if I were stuck in the 70s watching the teenybopper of the week.
Blake, Phil, and Jared are definitely my favorites so far.

Go Blake! I'm hoping they will have to eat their words about the Seattle tryouts... I count five of the top 24 that tried out in Seattle, so even though the judges said it was the worst set of tryouts they've ever had, it looks like they found a handful that are pretty darn good. Memphis seems to be the most popular tryout city of the top 24.

I liked Chris S. the best. And I think he made a good point to Simon that the song he sang is what a lot of kids like now. Just because it's not a dance hit from the 80s or a ballad from the 90s doesn't mean it can't be good!
I thought Blake was good, too.
Phil was good with the chorus, but I couldn't stand looking at him behind the mike - he was all ears and big eyebrows.
Sanjay and Paul Kim are two others I couldn't stand looking at - heebie jeebies.
Brandon I thought was really not good at all, but will stick around for another week.
Going home - I think Nicholas Pedro and Rudy will go home - maybe Sanjaya...

Double post - sorry...
According to www.dialidol.com
Sundance got the most votes ( ), followed by Sanjaya ( I don't like him) then Chris R (little Chris).
AJ, Blake, Phil, Brandon, and Chris S (big Chris) were all about the same.
Rudy and Jared were a little below that group.
Which leaves, going home...
Paul Kim and Nicholas Pedro

If what Kathy posted is correct, that is awful! Paul was much better than both Sanjaya and Sundance and deserves to stay.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were actually good. Sanjaya is horrible. I can't believe he's even in the Top 24. And Sundance is just scary looking.
