Well my brackets just took a turn for the worst. Thanks Duke!

I didn't think I could dislike them anymore than I did after the 1990 Elite Eight, but that may have changed.

Me too, but at least they deserved it (unlike Gonzaga, who kind of got worked by officiating) - so you're down one, and a 40% free throw shooter gets the inbounds with like 38 seconds left . . . oops, why foul? Instead, let's let them drive for an easy lay up to end the game . . .

How did the Zags get worked by officiating? I heard them say them and I wanted them to win but I saw it the other way. They called fouls against UCLA over and over but let a lot go for the zags and getting hit by a backboard is not a foul.

Well, I'm throughly depressed this morning. Both of my brackets are now gone ('Zaga and WVU).

I'm with Rudey here. I've watched the last 5 minutes of that game about 20 times now and I didn't expect my Bruins to win but I also don't think the Zags got worked by officiating.

PS: Morrison was an embarassment to the sport of basketball at the end of the game.

What the hell are you talking about. UCLA got hosed the entire game. Gonzaga blew it and Morrison did was just...ugh.

You mean during the press conference when he gave credit to the Bruins players, saying they were great players and great guys?

I mean, yeah, he cried - but an embarassment to the sport of basketball?

I think Morrison more of an embarassment to mankind than basketball. Perhaps that is what she meant.

You know whats funny. Is that I was watching this game with a friend and we kept on commenting how such a badass Morrison was.

" Look at this kid. He's a fuckin KILLER!"
"STUD!"

Then when he did what he did we both went

" Oh my..."
" What the hell are you doing. Please get up"
" Oh no. There goes the tears. Get up you pussy!"

It was just kind of a shock to me how quickly he collapsed; he just totally lost control of his emotions.

Exactly. I felt like they castrated him on television.

Same here - at least it wasn't earlier in the bracket (not that my bracket is all that great, anyways )

Right now I have two of my final four teams in the elite eight, waiting to see if another one makes it, and then we have the bracket lovingly known as WTF?!?!?!

I agree, I thought it was UCLA that the short end of the officiating. Gonzaga just plain ol collapsed........

I will say the announcers were disgustingly nauseating in their open support for UCLA. They could have at least tried to conceal it.....

I have no monetary part in teh tourney but I SO happy to see Duke lose.

I love it when someone is always held on this pedestal finally falls. And to a team full of freshmen and sophomores too...

I can't stand Duke. I know Dickie V was upset. You know he thinks the sun rises and sets on the Blue Devils.
