Whitney is buck wild and raw on this show. Now this was filmed before she entered rehab, but does it show her true personality? And, will Vivica be singing, or will the voice be dubbed?

Umm, no. I think they're too close in age for her [Vivica is a year younger] to pull it off. She won't be able to credibly go back to 1985.

Pastor Mason no more
Ma$e is back…with G- Unit?!?!
Monday - August 15, 2005
A-Plus
In a surprise move, Ma$e popped up on the latest G Unit Radio show on Shade 45 to announce his return to the rap game. In addition, he spoke about religion, slain rapper Big L and a possible album release on G-Unit Records.
“It’s the music I wanna make, not the music everybody wants me to make,” he told DJ Whoo Kid. When asked to elaborate on what that meant he simply said, “the Ma$e you know, ” indicating that Murda Ma$e might be back.
Ma$e also addressed his religious obligations, which were often the topic of conversation upon his first return. “At the end of the day, all dudes have God somewhere in their hearts, so let’s just put that to the side and do music.” He later went on to add: “All I need is two inspirational records… the other 16 are going to be Ma$e.”
No topic was too sensitive on the satellite radio show and a usually reserved Ma$e had plenty to say. He hinted at having some of his rhymes stolen from former rhyme partner and slain rapper Big L
“Big L brought me on the scene and I used to rhyme with him… when they used to do records, God bless the dead they would never put me on the records. But all of the hot lines he was saying, and even in his grave I gotta tell this, those were my lines. I used to say those lines in the park and they would put them out in song.”
On his relationship with P. Diddy : “It’s really nothing personal, I just don’t want to be there,” he said, referring to Bad Boy Records, “and I already proved if I don’t feel it I won’t work.”
So what will Ma$e be like when he comes back? “I ain’t going 50 [Cent] though, I’ma be right in between, I ain’t gon’ be Usher neither.” Look for Ma$e on the upcoming “Get Rich or Die Trying” soundtrack.

Looks like there will be a negro version of Queer as Folk coming soon. The site hasn't specified a network yet but, um, the show is interesting to say the LEAST
Peep the trailer and see for yourselves

Am I the only one who'd be interested in peeping it?

Apparently, it was a move and had been turned into a TV series. The guy who's producing it also prodcued that one movie Punks

Luther "outed"???
The Advocate Outs Luther Vandross
By Keith Boykin
August 17, 2005 02:10 AM
in sexuality
The Advocate magazine today became the first established publication officially to out Luther Vandross, who died in July. (At least that's the first time I've seen it.) An article on the magazine's website today described Luther Vandross as a "gay artist." The casual reference to Vandross's sexuality was included in an article that listed Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Elton John, and Usher as some of the singers paying tribute to the R&B legend in a new CD called "So Amazing: An All-Star Tribute to Luther Vandross" (September 20 by J Records).
Everyone else in the media has hinted about it or suggested it, but nobody has ever said it. Point blank. But is it true? Was Luther actually gay? Actually, I don't know. I've never heard Luther Vandross say he was gay, so I'm not sure I can say that. I assume he was not completely straight, but that doesn't mean he considered himself "gay" either. I think it's a big leap for The Advocate to draw that conclusion. Hopefully they have evidence to back it up, but since Luther is deceased he can't sue them for it anyway.
This is not the first time this has happened too. In March 1996, former congresswoman Barbara Jordan was outed by The Advocate in a cover story called "The Other Life" that ran two months after she died.
Now yall know how I feel bout Lutha it's amazing how these so-called advocacy organizations and publications actually undermine their purpose. Luther has never confirmed (nor denied) being gay. What do you accomplish by "outing" a man after he has passed anyway? Either way RIP Luther you are sorely missed and I'd love you either way!

Uhhhh
A girlfight was about to jump off between Tyra Banks and your girl Karrine Steffans on the set of Tyra’s new daytime talk show, which is scheduled to premiere in national syndication next month.
Steffans was there to promote her best-selling book “Confessions of a Video Vixen,” a memoir that includes vivid details of her sexual encounters with famous rappers, actors and athletes.
According to New York Daily News contributor Jawn Murray, Steffans says Banks dissed her, stating “I wrote ‘Confessions’ because I was angry and wanted revenge. ...She said, 'These are my colleagues. They're people I know well!’”
"Despite what she thinks, she and I are not that different," Steffans tells Murray. "I have even heard her being referred to as a 'Hollywood Hop' for the many men in Hollywood who have bedded her and moved on."
Steffans says she was so mad, "all I could think about was snatching her wig off!"
Banks’ manager Benny Medina came to his client’s defense, stating: "Tyra certainly never slept around. You can count her relationships on one hand."
According to Medina, the animosity between the two stemmed from Steffans not wanting to talk about passages from the book.
"She glorifies this lifestyle in the book," Medina says. "But on the show, I think she is ashamed of it."
Ironically, Banks' former boyfriend, director John Singleton, is said to be interested in developing "Video Vixen" as a feature film.
In related news, Steffans' boyfriend Bill Maher told the newspaper that he isn’t worried about her turning on him like former girlfriend Coco Johnsen, who filed a $9 million palimony suit (which a judge recently threw out).
"People say I'm into black women," says Maher. "Robert De Niro is into black women. I'm just into women who are real, and they happen to be black."

NEW YORK - Kanye West says "gay" has become an antonym to hip-hop — and that it needs to be stopped.
During an interview for an MTV special, the 27-year-old rapper launched into a discussion about hip-hop and homosexuality while talking about "Hey Mama," a song on his upcoming album, "Late Registration."
West says that when he was young, people would call him a "mama's boy."
"And what happened was, it made me kind of homophobic, 'cause it's like I would go back and question myself," West says on the show, "All Eyes on Kanye West," set to air Thursday night (10:30 p.m. ET).
West says he changed his ways, though, when he learned one of his cousins was gay.
"It was kind of like a turning point when I was like, `Yo, this is my cousin. I love him and I've been discriminating against gays.'"
West says hip-hop was always about "speaking your mind and about breaking down barriers, but everyone in hip-hop discriminates against gay people." He adds that in slang, gay is "the opposite, the exact opposite word of hip-hop."
Kanye's message: "Not just hip-hop, but America just discriminates. And I wanna just, to come on TV and just tell my rappers, just tell my friends, `Yo, stop it.'"
West, whose debut disc "The College Dropout" won a Grammy for best rap album, will see his second record in stores on Aug. 30.

I think the magazine was wrong. I don't know whether Luther was gay or not but he kept his personal business separate from his music career for his own reasons and it's wrong to put him out there like that when the man can't speak for himself.
Personally, I respected LV more because he didn't make his personal life a public issue. He was a singer, not a politician whose decisions affected others, so the postumous "outing" still makes no sense IMO.

Luther did speak to it. He said in an interview, I think on BET, that it wasn't anyone's "F-in "business. I was like whoahhhh...Luther cursed!

Lil' STD introduces Crunk Golf
Technology
Lil Jon And BlingTones Presents Crunk Golf
By BlingTones
Aug 18, 2005, 07:08
BlingTones(TM) ( http://www.blingtones.net) -- the world's first wireless record label and premier destination for mobile content -- will launch an exclusive phone only golf game featuring an animated "King Of Crunk" Lil Jon aiming for a hole in one and sporting his best golf threads. Instead of the usual suburban country club settings, the Crunk Golf game will take place in urban settings in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Lil Jon's hometown Atlanta. Four unique courses will be designed to each respective city: New York City's course will feature Lil Jon tee-ing off a building rooftop, while Miami will feature his crunk majesty playing golf in the middle of the beach while bikini clad women tan ; he will also tee-off on the movie lots and expressways in Los Angeles, and take his best crunk swing in hood-rich Atlanta.
Crunk Golf is an extension of the partnership between BlingTones and multi-platinum hip-hop artist / producer Lil Jon. He signed an exclusive partnership with BlingTones in April to create and market exclusive Lil Jon produced songs (ringtones), images, screensavers, and his famously shouted sayings for voice-ringers and ringbacks. As Billboard's Producer of the Year in 2004, Lil Jon and his crunk sound defined hip-hop with chart-topping songs, including Usher's #1 smash hit "Yeah!" and Ciara's breakthrough #1 hit "Goodies." His current album Crunk Juice is triple platinum.
BlingTones -- a division of Lagardere Active North America (LANA) -- launched in September of 2004 as the world's first wireless record label and has sold over 4 million downloads in that time. As the popularity of ringtones soar, BlingTones represents the next level in the ringtone phenomenon, bringing exclusive and original content to cellphone users including music, wallpaper, voice ringers, ringbacks, images, video, etc. Cellphone carriers T-Mobile, Sprint, Cingular/ATTW, Nextel, and Boost Mobile all carry BlingTones, which range in price from $1.99 - $2.99 depending on the carrier.
BlingTones has signed producers and artists to create original, exclusive music for cellphones. The roster includes: Lil Jon (exclusive ringtones, ringbacks and wallpaper from Billboard's Producer of 2004), Q-Tip, Denuan Porter (D-12's Kon Artis/producer for Eminem), Rockwilder (Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, DMX), Salaam Remi (Nas), Hi-Tek (Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg), All- Star (Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross), Doug E. Fresh, Dre and Vidal (Usher, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige), Scram Jones (Lloyd Banks, Mariah Carey), and many more. "Rep Your Hood" ringtones are an exciting ringtone offering that allows cellphone users to represent their city of choice through exclusive wallpapers and ringtones, each tailored to a specific city, from "Money Makin' Manhattan" to "Hotlanta" and more. The "Rep Your Hood" ringtones are mixed by award winning DJ J. Period and are available for over 15 cities and regions in the country.
