My wife and I got some household gifts as well for around the apartment. I haven't seen my parents yet, so I'm not sure what else I am getting.

Phoenix: What kind of heart rate monitor did you get? When I got my heart condition diagnosed, someone gave me one to keep track as I work out. It's one of the older Heartrate ones, but I really like it.
Polar F4 heart rate monitor. It's women's specific and really cool looking and neato.

www.polarusa.com is the general site
and
http://www.polarusa.com/products/fseries/f4.asp is my specifc one.

they sell a lot to triathletes, and come highly recommended.

Ok, I think that's the brand I have (albeit a few years older). It's been great so far.

* Gift certs to: Banana Republic, Outback, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Best Buy
* Lancome Miracle perfume
* Vera Bradley bag
* Money!
* stuff for the kitchen & to decorate the apartment

And the one I'm most excited about, which isn't here yet (and won't be for a while) is the t-shirt quilt Mr. AXiD670 ordered for me for my sorority t-shirts!

Um, I think that's it, but I feel like I'm forgetting something...

My fiancé cooked dinner for my family just like he did on Thanksgiving. It was his gift to all of us. He gave me a coat, a jacket, and a diamond heart necklace. He gave me a cell phone after Thanksgiving which I count as an early Christmas gift.

My sister and her husband gave me pink pajamas.

My youngest sister gave me good smelling bathroom stuff.

Mommy gave me a black hat, scarf, and gloves set, a box of chocolate, a black sweater, a white blouse, an onyx necklace and earrings set, and another black bead necklace. I guess she likes me in black.

Future step daughter gave me pink silk pajamas.

A family friend gave my fiancé and me a frame for our wedding photo, not that she's pressuring us or anything.

Boy, I guess. Why would anyone want to give someone a Doogie Howser season?

That's cold.

Sounds like the same fun we had...both mr. trojangal and I got really sick while in Colorado. Nothing like sharing Christmas and traveling back sick with swollen throats and fever!

Enough whining---in spite of being sick, it was a wonderful Christmas. There were 15 of us at my grandmother's house on Christmas day--all family and extended family, with the oldest being my grandmother at 81, and my baby cousin who is 11 months old. We had a family picture taken in front of the fireplace, and I can't wait to see how it turns out once we get it blown up to an 8x10 size.

On to the goodies:

$$ from grandmother--who paid for our trip out there

Giftcards from family members, scrapbook materials, ornaments, family photos,

From mr. trojangal: Macy's money ; computer stuff for the laptop, a pair of gold earrings, and a new cell phone to replace my dinosaur, a video I have been wanting forever

From my daughter ( with my mom's help a white gold snowflake necklace

From the parents:a beatiful sweater, some computer stuff, and some joint gifts for me and mr. trojangal--things like a Sirius satellite radio system..

AND THE SHOCKER--

From my DAD (!!) who gets the Coolest Dad of the Year Award--I got a special gift, that shocked me so much, I started crying when I realized what it was. He had wrapped it in several boxes, and down in the last box was....

.....

.....

MY EMERALD AND PEARL KAPPA DELTA BADGE.

Apparently Dad had heard me talking to Mom at Thanksgiving asked her "what is all this Kappa Delta stuff?" --on his own, without even telling mom he found the website for the jeweler, looked at the different badges, and ordered it for me. No one had a clue that he had done it until the badge came to the house right before they left to travel to Colorado.

Definitely a memorable Christmas...
