I'd like to think he wasn't just jaking it...but it seems more and more that way. If the reports are true, he really goes down quite a few notches in my book. I used to have respect for the guy, but maybe his whole thing was an act.
nice location there..

he's definitely gone down many notches in my book. he just become more and more angry and bitter.. since the time he turned down the first contract extension offer up through the a-rod situation. i still think he could learn a bit from Manny. that guy was put through the ringer.. he was placed on waivers, he was part of the trade, etc and if he has issues with it, he's kept it at bay. you have not seen any of the bitterness that nomah has shown, and a lot of times has a smile on his face.. chats with the crowd, etc. then there's nomah, who won't even get off the bench and stand on the steps to cheer the rest of the time on during a yankees game. who you keep reading that teamates wouldn't even make small talk with him, think that he's the reason for much of the negativity in the clubhouse, and haven't even expressed any sadness in seeing him leave. with that attitude, i'm not sorry to see him go.

I'll be interested to see if anyone goes on the record and says anything among the players - I'm thinking someone like Trot would be most likely to do so.

The fact that his agent told the Sox that he wouldnt' re-sign for less than $16 million shows that he has no read on the market. Nomar is good, just not $16 million good (not that Jeter is necessarily worth what he's making right now).
