Trust anyone who's been around this board for a while. He knows.

you are right, Denise

I was kidding, Denise, but thank you for the additional explanation. Phi Alpha is an important concept in SAE, who has a
marvelous history and colorful symbolisms. There are a good many once-Jewish fraternities, like Kappa Nu, and others who were courageous and meaningful. Either they got swallowed up
by the Zebes or others or just plain folded when we stirred up the
whole greek world over the clause. The smoke has somewhat cleared, but the Deefers got a taste of it at Emporia when the locals discovered it was historically jewish. Perhaps it will all come
out in the wash, I am too far removed from it all now, but the history is interesting. While it is indeed dangerous, young people
are too busy with their own circles to become involved in historical arguments, and it is too bad...we cannot be all things to
all people. The under 40 complainers often are receptive to all the
anger, but, in time, will mellow...

I thought of having it passed to each new President, but kids tend to lose things.

What I want is a shadow box with The Beta Chi Local Badge and Pledge Pine I designed along My Alpha Phi Omega Badge, Theta Kappa Nu (Merged with LXA in 1939) and My Original Lambda Chi Alpha (White Gold, Pearls and Saphires) and given for display at the Chapter House.

History is very important to me to keep things within the Chapter and Fraternity.
The chapter I advise has a shadow box that holds the pin from the literary society they were before affiliating with Delta Gamma, a Delta Gamma badge and a Delta Gamma 50-year pin. I think it is one of the most special pieces in their house. Good for you!

I agree, and am also interested in his opinion on the recent thread bearing his name.

^^^ First, why are you bumping these old threads for no reason?

Second, why would we read and report back on information that you want? Quit being lazy.
