Hey ya'll....guess what!!!!



I'm ENGAGED!!!


It happened about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I had a candle passing this past weekend. Me and Mr. DeltaZeeSC have been date for well over two years, so it wasn't really a big surprise to my sisters.


OK, sorry for my little blurb....I just had to tell everybody!

Whats going on this weekend?

I was planning on helping my brother move back to Longwood, not going to happen, then I planned on going to the beach, not going to happen.....

One of my sisters is coming to town with her parents since her husband is out of town so I am going to meet up with her and have dinner Sat. night. I have not seen her since her wedding!

Is it Labor Day yet?

Can I change places with ya who are still in school? (only for a week or so at a time ) I miss being in college sometimes, thurs. nights out, rush, the whole 9 yards.

Well, it has been a rainy dreary day here. In fact, it has rained sooo much, it brought a TURTLE up to my classroom window! Someone was daydreaming and looked outside and there was a huge turtle hanging out! How cool is that!
It was a snapping turtle, so one of the science teachers came and removed it. It did not look very happy, like a lot of kids in my class.

I am absolutely DYING from this heat and humidity!! Ewwwwwwwwwwww!!! Its so gross.. I just THINK about moving and I'm sweating profusely!

The good news is.. I'm working at 5 in the AirConditioned office.. B-E-A-UTIFUL!

My best friend, a DZ from NC State, had her first baby today! Her husband called me at 11 AM to let me know mother and daughter (a legacy!) are doing great. Steph called me around 11:30 to tell me all about her, except for her name! They did not know what to name her, Steph really hadn't thought about it! She called back at 5 to tell me they just put Grace Ann on the birth certificate! I can't wait to see her on Sunday!!!! The nursery was already a pale lime green....now we are going to add bright pink! Anyone seen any really cute turtle stuff out lately?

If anyone would like to write my professional goals statement for me, I will be your very best friend, forever.

First Open House tomorrow night. If ya'll are interested.. I thought it would be neat to start a Recruitment thread from my point of view (as the VP of Recruit.) Check it out if you want FULL details.. other than that, I'll be keeping you updated. Keep your fingers crossed for BIG MONEY, NO WHAMMIES.. oops.. wrong line.. BIG NUMBERS!

Haha! That's excatly what Stephanie said to me...hopefully her daughter is full of grace, cause that is what she is lacking!

Rush, fun fun! Can I help out? Sometimes I would love nothing more than to be in the middle of it, instead of in the middle of a bunch of 13 year olds. I wore my old bid day shirt to the gym tonight, what memories! We always had formal rush in the spring. It really kinda stunk because I played softball and I really couldn't do all of the fun pledging activites. I would love to hear all about your VP experiences. I was 3rd VP, but I alwaysssss wanted to be New Member Ed. I'm sure your skit will convience all the great girls how great DZ is and that they need to be baby turtles!!!!

Congrats on a great open house! Have a wonderful and safe time in Philly.

Its off to the beach for me. I have had a terrible past few days! Teaching and I are not getting along right now...my kids are bonkers! It has taken me 3 years to relieze that middle school kids can drive you nuts with their attitudes. Last night the alternator in my car went bad...pretty soon everything in that car will be replaced and it is on 4 years old!!!!! Anyone else got anything going on? Hope yall have a great weekend!!
