bump to top
Two days to go! Any final word yet on those who weren't sure the last time a list was posted?

Sorry everyone...
Well, it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to the dinner, or anything afterward. My job has been extremely taxing lately and my boss has said it would be a bad idea if I left the rest of my staff to do wrap up and the final touches on everything on Saturday. (I work for freshman Orientation and coordinate the entire student registration process- we have an all time high of about 90% of the freshman class being registered and it's been hectic!)
I apologize and hope everything goes well, I'm sure all of you going will have a great time. Hopefully it's a success and maybe another gathering will come up around the end of the summer? If people would like to do that, please keep in touch with me- I'd love to help plan it.
Again, I apologize, but I hope everyone has a great time!
Carol

Carol, I understand fully. This past week I've worked one of the Freshman orientation as well as a programs orientation. Summer is hectic for those of us that work at Universities.
Maybe someone else can plan a get together for So. Cal close to where they live for near the end of Summer or even better once school has started again.
For those going tomorrow, I have reservations at the Jazz Kitchen for 5:00 p.m. for about 20 people. It's under Carolyn or you may say Greekchat also.
See everyone tomorrow,
carolyn

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen can be reached at (714) 776-5200 and will be open until 11pm. For those who have never been there before, they feature New Orleans style cuisine and have vegetarian meals available. Kenny Sara and the Sound of New Orleans band will perform indoors from 6:45 to 11pm. The Jazz Kitchen will only give me a 10% cast member discount on food (obviously "drinks" are never eligible for discount), but for those who would like to take advantage of this, please be prepared to pay for your meal in cash.
Disneyland Park will be open tomorrow from 8am to midnight, but the 12th is a block out day for both the 2-Park Southern California and 2-Park Deluxe Annual Passports. So unless you're prepared to pay for regular admission, have a Premium Annual Pass, or can get (ahem) someone to sign you in, you won't be able to visit either park. Fireworks will be at 9:30pm, Fantasmic will be at 9pm and 10:30pm, and the Disneyland Parade of the Stars will be at 4:45pm and at 8pm.
Disney's California Adventure Park will be open from 10am to 10pm, but is likewise a block out day for the aforementioned passes. DCA will feature Disney's Electrical Parade (yes, the old one that used to be in Disneyland Park ages ago) at 8:45pm.
Both parks will feature assorted shows and character greetings throughout the late morning and afternoon. The Sleeping Beauty Castle Attraction Walkway and Space Mountain are both closed through 2005 for repair. The Superstar Limo in DCA is also closed. No other closures are scheduled in either park at this time.
This will be the last time I'll be checking this thread before the event itself. I have an opening shift from 10am to 3pm tomorrow and will join whoever has arrived at the Jazz Kitchen at 5pm, or earlier if people are there. If you are planning on visiting Disneyland Park during the day, please feel free to stop by the Castle Heraldry Shoppe in Fantasyland and say hello. The shop might be closed for about a half an hour suspiciously around lunch time, but otherwise I'll be there for five hours. It may not end up being worthwhile to sign people in for not more than an hour before dinner, so if people want to visit either park afterwards, then we'll discuss that option at that time. I hope to see you all there!
