That's not true in my experience. My car only takes premium. Tried putting regular in it once and it knocked and knocked. From that day forward, it got the good stuff. (Oh, my wallet... )
My husband's car, on the other hand, only takes regular. He tried putting premium in it once and its performance actually suffered. The mechanic told us it is optimized for 87 octane. So that's what it gets.
I just paid $1.939/gal for my last fill-up of premium. Nothing compared to folks in some other areas, but still... ouch.

It's too durn much!
Ranges from $1.87 to $1.93 for regular. I put $20 in my husband's '99 Altima the other day and it only gave me about three-quarters of a tank.

We're at $2.00 a gallon now. Earlier this week, it took $20 to fill my car up @ $1.95/gal.
Thank goodness I have a Toyota Corolla. I can't even imagine what I would be spending if I had bought The Grand Cherokee.

Even those stations owned by the foreigners has the audacity to be high @ $1.87/ gallon. I don't think I have EVER seen the prices this high before.
LAWD!
What if the gas prices are decreased right before the election? Wouldn't that be some *&^(?

In the Vancouver area... 97.5 cents per liter (Canadian dollars), so a gallon of gas will be 3.71 Canadian a gallon
In US funds... $2.67 per gallon!
No wonder the Canadians have been making a run for the border and hitting Whatcom County, WA (where I work) in droves. Gas there ranges from $2.19-2.24 per gallon (US dollars)
This is the regular unleaded stuff!

In Lower Kollyfornia
Filled up last night at $2.28 a gallon. This stuff needs to stop. I'm a free-market person, but this is simplistic BS.
