And everytime someone asked me that I would say, because I like it. Hows that for a reason?

I've liked the names Alexander (Xander) Blayne and Annalisse Jordan for well over 10 years.

I heard someone name their child that and the doctor wouldn't let her leave the hospital until she changed it. I heard this second-hand, so I don't know who or when.

Slightly off-topic, but I really want a big, flluffy tan cat named Aslan and a black cat name Bagheera. I like Aislan (sp?) for a girl, but I (and who knows who else) would always be thinking Aslan. I can't imagine the teasing.

One of my daughters swore that half the girls she knew at Mississippi State were double named "Mary (Something)". Double names seem to be getting big again here and I heard a woman commenting yesterday that 4 girls in her daughter's preschool are named "(Something) Grace".

Yep. Same at Ole Miss.

Anne Chancellor
Mary Martin
Mary Carter
Mary Katherine
Just a few from my dorm floor when I was there.

I was so pissed when Rachel from Friends named her baby Emma - I knew that was the end of that name.

I have a harder time with boys' names.
OMG....like 75% of all the girl babies that I know who've been born since 2002 have been named Emma...I'm so tired of it...it should be RETIRED!!!

ETA:Now, I'm not saying I don't like the name...I do- it's cute, my sister's name's Emily which is close. I just think that we've had enough of a good thing and it's time to start thinking of something else.

Maybe it just got overly popular?

Heh, either way, I'm proud of my name, it stands out from the crowd of popular names for boys.

What, no Mary Christmas? I know a girl named Merri and one named Merry Sara. I always thought that was kinda cool (but could see the teasing from a mile away).

I looked at the college degree on my counselor's wall and her middle name is "Moose."

I really don't know what I'd name my kids. I love the name Max, but it seems every other male these days is being named that.

Girls:
Inez
Alpha
Roxie
Majorie
I'd also really consider these names, but I have a feeling they're going to get major popular right as I start to have kids:
Clemetine
Joan

Boys:
Lazlo
Cyril (Insert name here) Ecspecially if it's the first born, it's family tradition
Thelonius
Theodore
James

lol! I have all three--Uncle Bob, Uncle Thomas (there are other Toms in the family so he goes by Thomas) and Uncle Larry (who I have never met, Mom says he is super weird!) My boyfriend has two of three, Bob and Tom. I'm cracking up!

I named my daughter Grace Erin. Grace is after my grandmother who is still living. Erin was on a short list from my husband's favorite aunt- we couldn't name her Verneal "Vernie". That would have been cruel and Aunt Vernie said so!

My son is named Jadon Spencer. Jadon was the only boy name I liked. I ended up being only 26 weeks pregnant when I had him, so I didn't have a lot of time to choose. Spencer is his dad's first name. I was going to give him the middle name Daniel after my dad, but it just seemed right to name him after his dad.

I didn't know how popular Grace was until after naming my daughter, but I wouldn't change it since it has family meaning. I also didn't know any Jadon, but there are everywhere in his school!

I tend to lean on some of the older girly names too
Sophia
Olivia
Emma- I agree Friends ruined the name
Chloe
