Idaho Vandals 5-1 one more for bowl eligibility.
I'm glad I was supportive in the past few years where our total winning games are what we've done this season. I'm a wee bit cranky I will miss part of the game Saturday due to a conference/workshop, though my roommate and my fella will go and save me standing room for when I can show up to Black Out the Dome!

It won't change the outcome, but the SEC admitted that its officials made the wrong call on the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green late in the Bulldogs' loss to LSU Saturday.

Any comment out of Conference USA for their calls in the Mississippi State vs. Houston game? Seriously, at least two really bad calls that probably affected the outcome of the game.
(Not that in the course of MSU's season it will really mean anything. How lucky are they that two of their non-SEC games this year were Houston and Ga. Tech? On the upside, I suppose Mullen in bound to show improvement in his second year.)

Vandals lead the WAC 3-0 and are 6-1 overall!!!
I'm looking forward to watching us on the smurf turf in a month, even if we can't beat Donkey State University I hope they are a little nervous if we beat Reno, LA Tech. and Fresno, but who knows.

I know H1N1 has hit the OSU campus again, suppose we could use that as an excuse for the football team's poor showing today? Nah, didn't think so. Sigh.

UConn starting cornerback Jasper Howard was stabbed on-campus last night after yesterday's win over Louisville: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4574560 .
Storrs isn't exactly an unsafe campus; the place is in a state of shock right now over the stabbing.

FWIW, I just read that H1N1 impacted 4 of the offensive linemen. I guess that's a legit reason for not letting them play.

FAU has won TWO GAMES IN A ROW as of today!! Yay! Let's hope for three next week at HOMECOMING!
Unfortunately my other two teams (Miami FL and Michigan) lost, so my pro team (Oakland) has to win to have this logged as a good weekend in football.

While I fully get that TCU plays in an easier conference than some other top rated teams, it does not diminish my excitement at how well they are doing this year. Little ol' TCU, with an enrollment of around 7000, sitting pretty at #6 in the BCS!
I sure was pulling for Indiana to beat Iowa, but in wasn't in the cards (or the officials' plans ) today. Oh, well.
Anyway, after blowing out BYU last week- and an appearance on GameDay- things should be pretty easy this week for my Horned Frogs with a Homecoming game against UNLV.
Go Frogs!

You know I really resent the refs they assign to cover home games here. This is now the third time that poor refereeing or just plain incompetence has cost us a game.
