Ya'll are going to laugh at this one...today I met "Barney"...the big purple dinosaur. It's the same person who does the kids TV show. He/she was doing a special event at the hospital and our department was the one "sponsoring" it. I think it's funny...nothing like quality time w/a dino!

I've met Alan Jackson. I attended a couple of parties of his here in Nashville and my ex worked for him.

I've met Vince Gill when I worked at a restaurant.

I met Mario Andretti on a flight to the Caymans.

I think that's it...

I've met "Triple H" from the WWE. When he had his knee surgery, he had it done here in Birmingham. He's so nice and nothing like his character. TV doesn't do him justice...he is 10 times bigger in person.

I don't know if he is famous (yet), but, I went to high school with Ruben Studdard. We were in the choir together. BTW, he really is a teddy bear!!!

*bump*

Just found out that I met and hung out with Eva Longoria, of 'Desperate Housewives' fame when I was a freshman in college.

Was talking with my sister (who had graduated from my college and was dating a guy there at the time) and told her that Eva was dating Tony Parker of the Spurs and that shes all the rage here in SA. My sisiter then responded, 'Well dont you remember her sitting next to you at formal as Jake's date? And dont you remember after Jake ditched her, she was at the afterparty all crying and you were trying to cheer her up and got her all those margaritas?" I'm all, "Wha?" And she's telling me, "Dood. I have pictures (sis was there), I'll bring them when I come to SA next week. You really dont remember her?" I'm all, "No. I dont remember that."

Cool tho.

A few more I thought of...

I once sat a couple seats down from Tom Boerwinkle (former Bull) at a Bears game many years ago.

I met Ron Artest and got his autograph at a Bulls Fan Appreciation Night in 2001. (He was at the table with A.J. Guyton, former IU Hoosier, and that's who I really wanted to meet) He was actually pretty mellow.

This will probably mean more to people from Chicago, but Steve Dahl was my next door neighbor for a few years when I was younger. (He lived next door to me when Disco Demolition happened!)

I met and got a picture taken with Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart at a licensing show I went to when I was interning at Advertising Age. I'm in between them in the pic and I look tiny. *heh*

I met Dorothy Hamill at a press conference.

Not me, but my dad has taught lots of famous people, including Tom Thayer (former Chicago Bear who was on the 1985 team, now Bears radio color analyst), Jerry Hairston Jr. (now plays for the Cubs), and Marisol Nichols (actress)
He also goes way back with Dennis Hastert.

I haven't really met anyone famous, but my best friend goes to school and is close friends with Morgan Freeman's granddaughter.

What she is doing in El Paso is beyond me.

My most memorable was Bono, lead singer of U2, of course. Met whilst staying at the hotel the band owns in Dublin, during a late night clubbing in the attached club. He proceeded to dance with and hit on my older sister even though I'm fairly certain he's married!

I've also met Matt Wertz, a lesser-known singer.

Does being pushed out of the way by bodyguards for Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson at Derby while I stood in awe of them count as meeting them?
