Question-At one point around 2020 wasn't Northwestern Panhellenic trying to completely disband and wanted to prevent any possible future reestablishment of closed chapters?

It was more that the campus was caught up in the Abolish Greek Life movement and several chapters closed as a result of members (largely new members, in most cases, I believe) deciding that Greek Life perpetuated discrimination, and some voted to return their charters. I can't speak to what each organization did, but there were organization-led efforts to work with chapters and the university. I don't believe that Northwestern itself was involved in trying to dismantle the Greek system.

During the extensive discussion on here, I noticed schools like NYU and Berkley didn't have this, despite having more liberal populations, as did a lot of the Ivy's. Though Wash U in Missouri had a lot of chapters close due to this.

Alpha Sigma Tau has closed their chapter at Seton Hall University. They haven't posted to instagram since May and are no longer listed on Seton Hall PHC's instagram page.

Sorry to be a bit late but Chi Omega at San Diego State University had 282 members join their colony! They were initiated and re-established around Halloween.

Phi Mu has announced that they will close their chapter at the University of Evansville(IN) in December. Closure is due to low membership. According to the announcement, the chapter was founded in 1952 and had had over 1400 initiates.

Oh man I just brought this up in the NY locals thread. I hope they can have a Binghamton style rebuild of their Greek system, as they’ve had a huge problem with underground organizations for a while now.
