I believe that the Boise State colony will be chartered this coming weekend (April 28th-29th).

Boise State was chartered as Lambda Xi.

The executive committee has accepted the petition for colonization by the group at University of Louisiana-Lafayette. They are now the Sigma Chi Zeta colony. Good luck!

The interest group at West Georgia is now a colony, assuming the name Sigma Chi Pi.

According to our website, Sigma Chi does not have any colonizations planned for Fall, but will colonize at the following schools in Spring semester:

Baylor University(recharter)
California State University-San Marcos
University of North Carolina-Charlotte

Good luck to the colonization team.

Just a correction: SIU-Carbondale chapter is Lambda Omicron.

The Carnegie-Mellon colony is currently being voted on. The vote should be finalized on Sept. 29.

Best of luck with the new colony. However, this thread is about current Sigma Chi colonies.

Update

This is the current list of colonies. Hopefully, a couple are moving closer to chartering.

Carnegie-Melon University(PA) - Sigma Chi Alpha http://cmusigmachi.org/home chartered 11/03/12
University of Louisiana-Lafayette - Sigma Chi Zeta
Cumberland University(TN) - Sigma Chi Nu
University of West Georgia - Sigma Chi Pi
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - Sigma Chi Rho http://uwmsigs.com/
California State University-Long Beach - Sigma Chi Sigma
Bentley University(MA) - Sigma Chi Tau http://www.sigmachibentley.com/
University of New Hampshire - Sigma Chi Upsilon
Florida Atlantic University - Sigma Chi Phi
St. Francis University(PA) - Sigma Chi Psi http://life.francis.edu/org/sigmachipsi/home chartered 12/01/12
Missouri State University - Sigma Chi Omega

Clarion University(PA) is still in the interest group stage.

For those of you reading this who are not Sigma Chi members, colonies pick their own names. They go by the colony name until they are chartered. Colonies are not required to have "Sigma Chi" as part of their name, but 99% do. My own chapter was Nu Sigma Chi while in colony stage.

Best of luck to the colony members. Colonization can be a tough, daunting road (most take 1.5-2 years). But, anyone who is a Sig will tell you that it is well worth it.
