My older brother just purchased a 'Snuggie.' It was supposed to be for a family member, but he decided to keep it for himself. Now he walks around the house with a burgundy blanket/robe. Seriously, I wish he would have just invested in a hoodie, instead of this broke-ass looking wizard's robe.

OMFG They have these for sale for $14.99 (cheaper than at their own website https://www.getsnuggie.com/flare/next) at my local Bed Bath and Beyond. This definitely is from the Beyond section of the store. I think they have every single "as seen on tv" item.

They only had the blue color.

I laugh at the Sham-Wow commercial too. The commercial says it's not sold in stores but it is sold at Bed,Bath, & Beyond here with that guy's picture on the package.

Every time I see that freaking commercial, I think of this thread. The words "OMG WTF the Snuggie" come into my head instantly!

I had defended the Snuggie in one of my previous posts, but I had a "WTF" moment during one of their commercials yesterday. I don't know if it was a new commercial, or if I just tend to lose interest before this part, but I walked in the room in time to see a mom, dad and their kids wearing all that loose fleece while roasting marshmallows over a roaring campfire. It doesn't seem like such a good idea, unless "stop, drop & roll" is printed on the sleeve.

There are other items like it on Amazon. The Slanket, the Pike Street, and the Cabin Cuddler. They are 100% polyester, talk about melting and flaming.

My husband's grandmother (who is 86 btw) got one of these things for Christmas. However she is having my Mother-in-law hem it for her because it was too long and she was afraid she might trip and fall when walking around in it.

I can see a lawsuit from someone trying to walk around in their Snuggie, tripping, falling a breaking a hip.

My DH wants one of these SOOOOOO SOOOOO bad. I laugh everytime the commercial comes on and he looks at me and pleads, "Can I get one? Please?"

I love how the commercial addresses every scenario imaginable. Like when the girl is in her 'drafty dorm room' on top of her bed NOT USING HER BLANKETS.

Or when they talk about getting tangled in normal blankets. That part made me laugh like no other. Who really gets THAT tangled in a blanket while sitting on the couch.
