Ladydelta, if it makes you feel any better, I at first assumed Elephant Walk was a Delta - because surely no one would use the fraternity "Elephant Walk" as a user name - but I was wrong.
Um . . .can some fraternity man help me out here and explain an elephant walk? Delicately?

I prefer the way it is done in a stroll where you put your hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you. They cover your hand with theirs and use the other hand to hold the hand of the person behind you.

Elephant Walk (the hazing, not the poster)

Nastiness. It's just nasty.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread . . .

I've had several girls tell me they know our handshake, then give me this ridiculous fake handshake instead. Apparently the fake handshake is pretty widespread, because I've gone to other campuses and seen it.

Now we do it in public to each other as a joke and to protect the real one.

hahahaha yeah some guy tried to give me the Sigma Nu handshake which involved some kind of wing shape and putting the index finger on the inside of my wrist. It was amusing.

The best though was some guy who claimed he was a UC Berkeley brother and claimed to have badge number 200-something, didn't know any challenges, didn't know the greek alphabet, the Berkeley chapter designation, etc etc. This is especially funny since they were founded in 1892 and are at like badge 1400-something.
