I had no intention of catching the BET awards, especially when I heard that damon was hosting. his spiel was unfunny as I predicted. I enjoyed the show, but two points:
why does chaka (whom I adore, mind you) have to scream. thank you yolanda adams.
I'm not a fan of eminem, but when he came out on stage unexpectedly with busta, I was hyped!

BET Awards
I caught the show last night and I had a couple of thoughts:
Jamie and Fantasia?? - What was that about? Love them both dearly, but whaaa...? Publicity stunt, just caught up in the moment, or what?? Fantasia looked like she enjoyed it, though...ha!
Mary Mary - That song is absolutely beautiful and I heart them so much!!!
Chaka Khan - You are a true icon but...how did Yolanda do a better job on singing YOUR songs than you did??? (don't hurt me..just my opinion!!)
Damon - what happened? Keenan still looks good!
What was going on with all the technical difficulties?!? TI then Diddy... hmm...and why does it happen every year? Someone needs to get fired!
...and I agree...it was nice to see everyone come out for Busta's song, but I was HYPED when Eminem came out!!! (again, don't hurt me, JMO, but he did a better job than most of them)

I got hyped when Em came out too.. I was all set for DMX to show up, but Em was a great substitute...
 @ Jamie and Fantasia. She needed a girdle under that dress, but she was working it. That kiss was HOT!

Overall the show was OK, but I fell asleep after the Busta performance.
B and Hov - I like the song but I did not care for her performance.
Damon was WWWWWWWAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!! He was not funny at all.
My favorite part before I fell asleep was the Touch It Remix.

I thought I was the only one who wasn't as impressed w/Chaka's performance..... It could have been SOOOO much better - but how IMPRESSED I was w/Yolanda! That performance (Prince, Stevie, Yolanda, India & Chaka) was the best part of the show
I too was hyped to see Em... glad to see him out and about
I'm just glad I have Tivo, cause i just don't think i could have watched it live......it wasn't all that great!
