well I found it online by searching for petroleum engineering schools. what is the deal with your hard-on for US News????
furthermore, the info it gave listed 3 schools.....that helps.
furthermore, talk to any heads of oil and gas companies and they will tell you that these are the best places to go.
i'm sorry you can't find it, but i didn't make up some report and specifically name it for the sake or arguing with you.
what is your argument throughout all of this????
there is nothing for you to refute becuase I am right.

Also I dont know maybe its just me, but age really doesnt make that big of deal with whom i can relate too or get along with, I have lots of friends that are somewhat older than I am, and some that are younger than I am. Personally I think it comes down to a maturity level, but again thats just me

no man its cool. its fun to just say other random facts on here becuase someone will always go on a crusade and search the web for ways to refute you.
i too have many friends that are older/younger, however I have seen older guys go through rush and have a hard time gettinng really close with his pledge brothers. your maturity level as a 24 year old would make it difficult for 17 and 18 year old to relate to. Furthermore, you should realize to that you will be bossed around and most likely hazed a little bit by guys maybe 2 or 3 years younger than you as well. (I know that some of the top chaptes ant Ok State haze....I dont know about the rest of them.)
If you want to though....go for it. Its a great experience.

What is the Gourman Report link to its website and specifically its rankings? I thought you said your dad sent it to you.

I looked online and found out about the Gorman Report - it's just a competing system (with U.S. News & World Report and a few others) for ways to rank schools and programs. It seems to be pretty widely discussed, from the brief Google search I did - I'm surprised that someone as into college rankings as you isn't more familiar with it.
At any rate, this is completely offtopic from the original post ...

Do you rank your friends into tiers too? What about your kids?

I don't think you're top tier enough to get an answer to your question

I just pledged a sorority this semester (am currently a 'new member' and we're picking bigs this week!!! super excited) and I'm a junoir. Well, I did a program in high school that allowed me to take college classes, so I've been in college for 5 years now, although I'm only a few months shy of 21, and I have enough credits to be considered a senoir. I had no problem going through it, although I am a legacy so I think they gave me little extra consideration.
Basically, one person told me that going through it later in college is sometimes better because you don't get burnt out. Like girls who join in their first semester are burnt out by senoir year and I can see why becuase it is rather intensive and there are a lot of older girls in my chapter that don't come around as much and that might be why.
The only thing I've found a problem with is that I almost can't connect with most of my pledge class because they're mostly freshman and all they care about is drinking, partying, and guys, while I've been in college for sometime and am over that initial "omg!! no parents and beer everywhere" phase, and I care more about my life and future plans, you know, boring adult stuff.
There's no harm in going through recruitment and checking it out. Depending on your school you might be able to go through some sort of recruitment this spring still. I'm glad I didn't do it earlier in my college career because the me 2 years ago wouldn't have liked it. Unfortunately, there are always some snobby stuck up girls in sororities, and there are some in mine that have the attitude that upperclassmen shouldn't pledge, but I think most girls would welcome you very much and look very positively towards you and look past the fact of how old you are.
Good Luck!!!

yeah I agree with you on that. i'm in the north and greek life isn't really highly competitive here at my school, so it just kinda depends.

No, furthermore, why my other post got deleted is beyond me. A senior that wanted to pledge is ridiculous. Absolutely a joke. He would get laughed out of any respectable top tier southern fraternity. I would be embarassed for him.
And if a mod responds to this, Spare Me in posting the TOS for me to see.

You must be right. What would the state of Oklahoma know about petroleum? I mean, I'm probably the only person in this state who works in that industry.
