WORLDWIDE EXCLUSIVE: BRITNEY SPEARS GIVES BIRTH!!!


It's a boy! Us Weekly is the first media outlet in the world to report that Britney Spears gave birth shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, according to hospital sources. Us was there as Spears, 23, and husband/aspiring rapper Kevin Federline, 27, arrived at the hospital with a police escort shortly before 6 a.m. and medical staff whisked Spears into a birthing suite. According to hospital sources, Spears was wheeled into a delivery room about 12:15 p.m. and within minutes the first-time mother had delivered via C-section with Federline by her side. (A rep for Spears had no comment.)

As reported in the Us cover story now on newsstands, Spears experienced early labor contractions on Sept. 9 and then spent the next several days in much physical discomfort. ''Pregnancy has not agreed with her,'' a Spears pal told Us. ''She has been sick a lot.... She couldn't get out of bed all weekend.''

Although the couple has not yet legally named the baby boy, sources tell the magazine they had planned to name the child Preston Michael Spears Federline. The child is Federline's third (he has two children, Kori, 3, and Kaleb, 1, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson).

Sources tell Us that Spears plans to return to her $7 million Malibu mansion with her newborn within the next few days. In the October issue of Elle, Spears said she looked forward to motherhood, proclaiming, ''I'm gonna be a hot mom!''

Singer Christopher Williams is alive and well. Last week, he was the victim of a cruel internet hoax. The news release appeared to be real announcing his death from a sudden illness, but it was a fake. Every week, a new celebrity is targeted by these cruel hoaxes. Whoever is doing it is sick. STOP IT ALREADY! Christopher was and is still upset by what happened. Whoever did this has no idea the turmoil his family went through. Christopher Williams is alive, and he is not sick. He is currently on tour with the stage production Love Hurts, and he is due in Chicago next week.

Eddie Murphy wants his family back! The popular actor and comedian is going thru a very public divorce with Nicole, his wife of 12 years. They have five children. Nicole stunned everyone when she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Nicole has moved on with her life, and she has already found a new man. She is currently staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel. When Eddie went to talk to her, she had nothing to say and he went off! Eddie caused such a scene he had to be removed from the hotel. He is miserable without his family, and he wants them to return. This divorce is not only going to be costly but embarrassing. Eddie has been the subject of many sordid stories. Did something happen in his private life that caused his wife to flee the marriage? Will Nicole ever forgive Eddie? Will she drop the new man and the divorce proceedings? Only time will tell.

Why is Tyrese putting his mom out of her house? Five years ago, the singer surprised his mom on the Oprah show when he purchased a new home for her. Well five years later, he is taking the house back! Sources say Tyrese doesn't get along with his brothers and sisters, and they were living with his mom Priscilla Murray. Tyrese wanted his siblings out of the house, so he moved his mom to a one room condo. His brothers and sisters are very upset by the move. They claim Tyrese has gone Hollywood, leaving them in the hood.

The engagement is off between Brandy and NBA Player Quentin Richardson. Last year, Quentin gave Brandy an engagement ring worth $1 million. He proposed to her in a flashy ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Quentin was playing for the Phoenix Suns at the time. He was recently traded to the New York Knicks. What happened? Quentin was her knight in shining armor after her disastrous fake marriage to her baby's daddy, Robert Smith? Did Brandy's mother get in the way? She runs the singer's life. Did her meddling cause problems?

With the launch of two shows this season, America's Next Top Model and a new talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, Tyra Banks has her hands full. So you can bet she has no time for the new drama unfolding in her life. Tyra is being harassed by a look-a-like porn star. The look-a-like looks like Tyra, the supermodel. The look-a-like, "Totally Tyra," was discovered in a shopping mall, and she has posed nude and starred in porno movies. So why is the fake Tyra doing this? She says imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The real Tyra is not happy about this, and she wants everyone to know she would never pose nude.

Voletta Wallace, the mother of slain rapper Notorious B.I.G., is writing a book about her son. Biggie was gunned down presumably by rival rappers in 1997. His death left a void that has not been filled. Mrs. Wallace makes some shocking charges in her upcoming book, and she doesn't have kind words for Diddy or Lil' Kim. Diddy was Biggie's mentor, and Lil' Kim was his former mistress. Mrs. Wallace claims Diddy and Kim exploited Biggie's image and his name after his death to further their own careers. She is not pleased how they continue to bring up his name to gather sympathy for themselves.

The 20th season of The Oprah Winfrey Show kicks off on the 19th, and the promos are promising an event not to be missed. Last year, she gave the audience members brand new cars. How will she top herself this year?

Maxwell is sporting a new look (close cropped hair), and a new lady, an exotic brunette, but what about a new album? What is taking him so long to release new material?

Ice Cube is getting sued along with MGM over the hit movie, Barbershop. Filmmaker James Davies says they stole his idea for the movie. His version was called, Shop. He is seeking $100 million.

During fashion week, Stevie Wonder's wife, Fashion Designer Kai Miller, was the toast of New York. Last week, Miller's designs were the talk of the town, and Stevie beamed with pride as his wife was honored. Miller and Wonder have been married for over four years. They have a toddler who's four and a new baby, 4 month old Mandela. This has been a very busy year for the couple. And, in a couple of weeks, the long awaited CD, A Time For Love, is going to be released.

One of the highlights of this year's VH1 Hip Hop Honors will be the reunion of En Vogue. Yes, the reunion of En Vogue! Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, Terry Ellis, and Dawn Robinson will be coming together for one night to help honor Rap Icons Salt and Pepa. They will be performing their 90's hit with Salt and Pepa, What A Man. Other honorees include LL Cool J, Ice T, Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five, Big Daddy Kane, and the late Rapper, The Notorious B.I.G, plus the movie New Jack City. The show airs September 26th on VH1.

The American Music Awards take place November 22nd on ABC. Cedric The Entertainer will be hosting.

Boris Kodjoe's long awaited movie, The Gospel, hits theatres on October 7th. The movie also stars Nona Gaye, Clifton Powell, Idris Elba, Donnie Mc Clurkin and Yolanda Adams. The movie is about a man who lost his faith and struggles to regain it. Check out the Kodjoe family, Boris, Nicole and new baby Sophie, on the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine.

June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters has pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine. She will be in a drug rehab program for the next 18th months.

Dave Chappelle says he is enjoying his life since walking away from his popular comedy show, Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central. Chappelle walked away from his $50 million contract and shocked the entertainment industry. Chappelle says he is enjoying working in small clubs and venues because he prefers working in front of a small audience. He states he is not on drugs, and he doesn't have a mental illness. Chappelle left his show during production of the third season and never looked back.

Charlie Wilson is coming to Philly. He will be starring in the stage musical, Why Do Good Girls Like Bad Boys. Angie Stone is also starring. The show runs September 27th thru October 2nd at the Merriam Theatre.

Beyonce is gracing the cover of Essence magazine. Essence is sporting a new look. It reminded me of Vogue. Beyonce is on her own now that Destiny's Child has ended their reign. She's gearing up for her movie career. She has two big releases next year, The Pink Panther, with Steve Martin and the musical, Dreamgirls, with Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy.

Jamie Foxx has been named the Spokesperson for the NAACP's Disaster Relief Fund to aid Hurricane Katrina victims. Foxx says he's honored to join forces with the NAACP to help out those who have lost so much in the Gulf Coast.

Tina Turner is among the honorees at this year's Kennedy Center Honors. The 28th annual gala takes place in December. Singer Tony Bennett and Actor Robert Redford are also being honored.

Oscar Winner Sidney Poitier is about to become a video music star! Jamie Foxx has lured Poitier out of retirement to co-star in his new music video, Extravaganza. This will be the first single off of Jamie's new album, which is coming out in mid November.

Now speaking of albums get ready for the return of Kindred The Family Soul. Their new CD, In This Life Together, comes out on the 21st featuring the lead off single, Where Would I Be, The Question.

Earth Wind & Fire will perform the in the opening montage at this Sunday's Emmy's Awards. The show airs on CBS. Who will be the big winners? Desperate Housewives, Will and Grace, Halle Berry? Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting.

The 10th Annual Lady of Soul Awards are talking place this Saturday at 8pm on WB17. The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be getting The Lena Horne Award for Outstanding Career Achievement. Stevie Wonder will be on hand to give it to her, and they will be doing a duet together. They will be performing Until You Come Back To Me, a 70's hit for Aretha. Stevie wrote the song for her. Brian McKnight and Toni Braxton are hosting. Ciara, Amerie and John Legend are all scheduled to perform. Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Jill Scott, and Destiny's Child are all up for awards.

If you notice the man seated next to her on her right with the baldy bean, he has on a shirt similar to hers oh so bright azz shoes. Now if they would just swap shirts, her outfit would be kinda cute!

I didn't know Kevin Federline was an aspiring rapper. Since when are people classified by their aspirations? Does he have no other job title? How about what he's already done? Unemployed backup dancer...sounds good to me.

I didn't see Brandy and Wuentin staying together so I'm not surprised.

I'm actually looking forward to Jamie Foxx's album. The video sounds interesting also.

Vivica Fox has some harsh words for her ex-sweetie, 50 Cent. She calls his way of dealing with their break-up “ghetto love.”

The press about the relationship lasted longer than the relationship itself, the “Missing” star told talk show host Tyra Banks, and she believes she was cast as the villain in the whole process.

“Why do you think the press does that?” Banks asked.

“No, it wasn’t the press — it was him!” Fox replied, according to a source familiar with the show, which airs Thursday. “He was like, ‘She’s exploiting me, she’s trying to use me to get publicity.’. . . . But, you know, I just considered that ghetto love. It was his way of dealing with the break-up.”

Fox also said that she has 13 tattoos — and one on her arm that says “Strength, Courage & Wisdom” is due to 50 Cent: “After my break-up with 50 Cent, that was a song [India.Arie’s “Strength, Courage & Wisdom”] I listened to almost every day because I needed strength, courage, and wisdom to never let that happen to me again.”
