Having dated two musicians, this list is almost embarrassing!

Blues Traveler
Hall & Oates
Seals & Croft
Moody Blues - 4x & always in the front row!!!
The Allman Brothers Band
Huey Lewis & the News
Beach Boys
Moody Blues
Paul McCartney - twice
Ringo Starr & Friends - 3x
Eric Clapton
Willie Nelson - twice
Doobie Brothers
Billy Joel
Smashing Pumpkins
Simon & Garfunkel
Cheap Trick
Wang Chung
Phil Collins
Rod Stewart
Hootie & the Blowfish - twice
Amy Grant
Bob Dylan
Wilco
John Cougar Mellencamp
Ella Fitzgerald
Dave Matthews Band
Grateful Dead
Phish
Music Box
Phil Lesh
any other "baby deads"
all the Christian artists in Young Messiah - 3x
Celine Dion
(and how could I forget?) Donnie Iris!!!!

One that I would highly recommend as a "fun date" : Peter, Paul & Mary

And I know I'm forgetting a bunch. I just wish the former mr. honeychile had his list - it would put all of ours to shame!

AWJDZ,

I am with you . . . don't know how they got the tickets early but anyways. They're not on sale through Ticketmaster.com yet so I am sending my mom up there tomorrow to the Arena to get the tickets. This concert is like a have-to thing on my list. My dad has always wanted to see the Stones (he's seen more people than God in concert but hasn't seen the Stones) because the Stones are his FAVORITE band. He took me to see my favorite band (the Eagles) so for his birthday I HAVE to get these tickets.

I believe that they've sold out their allocation of the tickets. Fan clubs are given certain amount of tickets to sell directly to its members. Then you have American Express also receiving portion of the tickets, producers get their shares, radio station, sponsors, etc, etc, etc. by the time the general public get their chance, through ticketmaster, you're all competing for around 45% of the arena.

I just hope I can get 2 tickets. I mean I don't care if they're on the floor or not at this point. In fact, my dad doesn't want floor seats because fans stand up all of the time on the floor and he has bad knees so it wouldn't really be all that fun for him if he was on the floor. Cross ya'lls fingers that I get some!

If it's still available, try to get a group of friends and hire a box. I've done this and had a blast. Imagine, all the food and booze you can eat and drink. Plus, you get your own bathroom. It was a blast. I would contact the arena or stadium and see if it's avaialble.

Ya'll the Rolling Stones concert in Charlotte, NC is sold out. It sold out on the first day tickets were available at the Arena. The representative said you had to be there to get the tickets. Argh! There was never anything in any of the area papers about it! My mom searches for that kind of stuff because she loves concerts!

FWIW, if you're really into concerts, get to know the people at your favorite venues - seriously!! I went a few years when all I had to do was get a floor ticket, and a buddy would move me into the first row! Plus, the venue people really know what's going on!

Also, watch the papers for the scalpers. That's who's buying a LOT of the tickets. Many of them are willing to deal with you (and that's how I got rid of an old stereo!).
