Now I have a lot of respect for Meredith. Thanks, docetboy, to help me seeing a contestant as a person, as one of us (and as a service man). This is the first time I encounter a letter from a TAR contestant.

I too have to say thank you docetboy for posting that information and letter. I have nothing but the upmost respect for the Tomb of the Unknown guards. I now finally have a team to ROOT for out and out.
Go Meredith and Gretchen!

I thought this leg would be a non-elimination one. Sorry to see Patrick and Susan go. I liked that she wouldn't give up despite Patrick's negativity.
Can't stand Ray. He needs to stop talking shit about Meredith and Gretchen. He 's almost as bad as Jonathan form last season.
I loved Lynn's line about Rob & Amber: "There like an STD." So funny.
Next weeks episode looks extra dramatic.

I absolutely cannot stand the boyfriends. I'm so glad they came in 5th tonight!
I also thought this leg was going to be a non-elimination one. As much as I couldn't stand Patrick and the way he spoke to his mom, I thought they did pretty well so far and I would have preferred to have other couples eliminated before they were.
From the looks of several spoiler sites I read, the coming episodes prove to be goooood ones.

Agree completely. Their Romber obsession is so counter-productive and I'm way tired of their whining. The first episode they were entertaining; now they are way too annoying.

I thought it would be non-elimination, too.
Patrick needed to go -- badly -- but Susan needed to stay. I think she should have told Patrick that he could walk home from Argentina.
Ray is the one who needed to go much worse than anyone. What a supreme jerk.

Am I the only one who's ready for them to get out of South America? I want to see the teams compete in a truly foreign environment, where they don't know the language like everyone seems to know spanish.

No, you are not the only one. I'm tired of hearing "rapido!"
Looks like they go to Africa next week.

I don't understand Ray's major malfunction with older people. Maybe one time a 70 year old stole his girlfriend or something. What an ass, and Deana is whiny and annoying. I still like everyone but them and Rob & Amber.

Like everyone else, I thought for sure last night's episode would be a non-elimination round, but I wasn't upset to see Patrick and Susan go, Patrick's negativity was quite annoying. I hope they leave South America soon, I was hoping they were going to last night - time to move on and see the rest of the world.

I was SO upset at the comments that Ray was making about Meredith and Gretchen. Have some respect!
Next week's episode looks good, but what is up with EVERYONE (so it seems) getting hurt?

Seriously - I hope that Ray realizes what an a** he looks like with his comments, but probably not
That looks like a major hurt for Gretchen (but maybe, since they say head wounds bleed a lot, it's not as bad as it seems?)

Did I hear it right? So next week will be a two hour episode? So it will be a non phil-imination episode (at least for the first hour?)
YES they need to get out of S America. Comparing all the routes of TAR seasons so far, I like TAR5 route the best, as it was really diversed and sporadic, not majority in Europe or S America.

Putting Rob and Amber in TAR was a great move.
Rob is an amazing schemer, and pretty athletic too.
Are the other teams just mad because R & A have already won big bucks?

I think that has a lot to do with it...same goes with the fan base. It's like, "WTF...they already got a million bucks, why do they feel the need to go for another million?"
That...and Boston Rob's just a big asshole. But he's a big asshole who knows how to play the game.
If you're on TAR, you're not there to make friends. You do what it takes to come in first and win the money.
