I'm still on the worst commercials..this was my first time seeing it today and I was like how gross..it was for the Tampax Pearls where the lady and man were in the leaky boat and she actually pulls a tampon out of her purse and plugs the boat up..shows the string and everything..to me that is so disgusting..

Now that I think about it all the Tampax Pearls commercials are disgusting..hanging a pad down the window (the one were she just so happens to drop her tampon on the bush) and who would actually were all white at a time like that..

GIRRRRRRRRRRLLLLL!!! We must have seen the commercial at the same time because I was on my way to this thread! That commercial should be pulled from the air IMMEDIATELY!!!

To be honest, I don't think that there should even be pad and tampon commercials. They should be regulated just like cigarette commercials. We all know that we need them. No need to advertise how they are used, etc.

i saw it too and thought i was so nasty. i've never seen a feminine product commercial where they actually showed the product being out of its wrapper. DISGUSTING!!!!!!

i also hate those herbal essence commercials where the women are always sounding like they are having orgasms because the shampoo is just so good. HOW GOUSH!!!!

I had only seen this commercial once before I started reading posts about it. I thought it was kind of cute, but I didn't see where she actually plugs it in the boat. I just saw where she takes it out of the box, and then they were sitting in the boat. Well, when it came on again I made sure not to turn my head. I can't believe they showed that much. What I saw would have been good enough for the commercial, because even though I didn't actually see her plug it in I still got the point. But I do find it strange that a woman would walk around with a box of tampons in her purse.

I will have to defend the commercials about the CD compilations... The one with, "I'm going down," "Your body's calling," "Die without you," and all those other songs, made me remember a few songs I needed to download and make into a CD.

and theres another CD that has all the "old school" hip hop joints, but theyre all from the early 90s. that is NOT old school! how you consider "hip hop hurray", "bump and grind" , "funkdafied", and "im goin down" old school?

fall back!

someone let me know...
There's also one called "The Down Low". Why, why, why do they have Bone Thugs "Crossroads" on there?? That is not a song that you put on to get in the mood.

Hey, I don't recall anyone complaining about those old York Peppermint Pattie commercials whenever someone bit into a York Peppermint Pattie, they would "get the sensation" and have a spontaneous orgasm, so let's not get into the whole Herbal Essence bit. Frankly, I know some folk on GC that could use a good Herbal Essence/Peppermint Pattie moment to loosen some of that uptight tension (j/k, j/k, j/k, yall)

As far as feminine hygiene commercials, I hated those Tampax commercials featuring the Grambling State University dance team. It killed what I thought was a sexy seductive moment for me and then I wound up with my.....oops But I digress. I saw that commercial so much in 2000 on Game Show Network during Match Game '7x I was afraid the GSN announcer was gonna say, "Match Game, sponsored by Tampax". I would have to go into MG withdrawal for awhile if I heard that announcement.

Ummm....Maybe I'm tripping, but I don't EVER remember anyone having a "spontaneous orgasm" on the York Peppermint Patty commercials.

Watch "I Love the 80s Strikes Back" - 1989, and when they discuss the York Peppermint Patty commercial, you'll see the guy have an orgasm.

I would also like to add that Old Navy commercial with Lil' Kim on it. I absolutely hate the ending where she says, "You're in the hood now bebe."

Lawd yes! How triflin was that! The camera's all up in the mix & then they are gonna bust out talking about a tampon? I was tooo thru with that mess!

then those old commercials with the older black couple & the wife keeps talking about her husband being constipated. I think it's for Milk of Magnesia. That is soo nasty to me.

Get Airbourne Baby

There are a series of commercials...very low budget...a man is standing next to someone who either sneezes, or coughs (one has him seated on a plane next to a person in a cast & IV's..and the man yells NOOOOOOOOOO like a crazy fool - then the announcer says "Airbourne, created by a teacher who was sick of catching colds from her students".. and the voiceover has a little kid saying "get Airbourne baby!"....The first time I saw it I thought it was a joke...now I keep seeing newer versions...the joke is old now.

And although I think it was mentioned..I am tired of Whoopi in those Slim Fast commercials...I know they want to use "real" people and not models but she is hardly the picture of fitness to me !

are these airborne ads only in bk, or a specific channel? i havent heard of them.

and yeah, whoopi doing slim fast doesnt motivate me to lose weight. just please dont let them have rappers writing 16 bars to some bad tunes advertising slim fast. cause u know that would be next.

You know since I posted this I have not seen the commercial?
when I thought about it...it was always on Channel 7 during Oprah or Wheel of Fortune, so its possible that it was just a local commercial.

oh nm then cause im never home or watching tv during this time of day, let alone channel 7.

but lets talk about the commercials we like:

how bout the sprint commercials where the girl braids the whole family's hair (including the dog's!) and she keps talking because her minutes dont start til 9pm? its so funny!

the new geico ads are hilarious as well. better than the gecko.
