Yeah what was up with being rude to Gus and Hera? And I hated the ending. I really like gus and hera and the blonde girl and her boyfriend ETA Kris and John... everyone else just aggrevates me big time. Jonathan is a big ass.

My hatred for Freddy & Kendra grows with every episode. What's with her wanting to stop so they can do some research? You're in a freakin race idiot.

I thought it was hilarious when Jonathan & Victoria's cab driver kicked them out.

I don't want Lori & Bolo to be eliminated. Have they done a "to be continued" on this show before?

I was watching Entertainment Tonight (before AR) and they were mentioning that this was going to be a cliffhanger episode, and we won't find out who's eliminated until AFTER January 1st - that there's going to be a special "favorite moments of Amazing Race" episode next week with never-before-seen footage or something. That sounds pretty interesting (but I love AR, so anything's fine with me!)

Tonight's episode (for ms_gwyn) started with them leaving Brandenburg Gate and heading to Checkpoint Charlie (the guard station from when the Berlin Wall was still up and separating the two parts of Germany), then going to the Olympic Stadium where they had to sign up on a sign-in board. (Order was Freddy & Kendra, Hayden & Aaron, Jonathan & Victoria, Kris & Jon, Gus & Hera, Rebecca & Adam, Bolo & Lori). They had to wait until the stadium opened at 6 am, where they went in for a Roadblock (kinda like a catapulted bungee jump). From there, they went to the airport and flew to Budapest, Hungary (this is where Jonathan thinks that Gus & Hera stole "his" seats, when in fact they went to a travel agent and probably booked the tickets before they were confirmed for J & V). They then had to drive these little cars (as Kris (?) termed them, Herbie cars) to Egag (?), where they completed a Detour (either catapulting a watermelon to crack a wooden box, or pushing a cannon up a hill and then transporting 55 cannonballs up to the same spot and stacking them in a pyramid - everyone chose the cannonball, although G & H and R & A both originally tried the catapult). Once completed, they took a train back to Budapest, where they had to find an Internet cafe to get their next clue (through AOL). The cafe didn't open until 10pm, so everyone bunched up (except for Lori & Bolo, who've been left at the train station to wait for the train to Budapest in the morning). We saw the other six teams heading into the cafe, and then that's where it ended - but it looks like the next new episode will feature a roadblock with a large amount of food to consume (flashback to the caviar and the ostrich (?) egg of last season)

Hope this helped!

I wonder what's going to cause Freddy to go apeshit in the next epi?

I pitied Victoria in the beginning, but COME ON. Quit your fcuking whining, bitch...if you don't like being treated that way, GTFO and leave his sorry ass!

Yay for Gus and Hera keeping it cool throughout the whole thing. I'm pulling for them!

I loved it when Gus said that Jonathan is starting to piss him off. My first reaction was "STARTING????" Gus is such a gentleman, that he just lets Jonathan mouth off and says nothing bad in return.

When Jonathan said that he can do amazing things when he got the cop to help him, I wanted to spit at the cop for not findng some reason to arrest him. Please Please let him come in last soon so we don't have to see him acting like the abuser he is.

Thumbs up

I didn't know so many GCs have passion on Amazing race. Good job on recapping what happened, polarpi. Fortunately I didn't miss the episode, I was lucky though, flipping through channels before 9pm to find out that the show was on 8 instead of 9. Stupid CBS!

After watching the first half of tonight's "recap" episode of this year's race, here are my thoughts:

Kris was right on about her "ugly American" comments and the lack of culture some of us have when experiencing other ways of life - she's now become my favorite racer!

Jonathan - learn where you're at...it's SENEGAL, not SeneGOG

I'd like to see Lori lay the smackdown on Jonathan.

I agree with MUAGD that Jonathan is so bad that it makes me not want to watch the Amazing Race this year. I LOVE Kris and Jon and love Hera and Gus but Jonathan just makes it awful. I cannot WAIT till they are eliminated!
I also missed last week's because of the stupid time change but I am eagerly awaiting the new one.

From now on, I'm using the name that the TWOPers use: KKKendra.

I am glad that actually added things that we hadn't seen and didn't just show clips. I really like Kris now when they were swimming in the water with the children it was so cute.
