I've had my account for 2 weeks now and still haven't gotten a single invite to give out

I think Google is trying to crack down on the invite sales.

i've had mine for about that same amount of time and haven't gotten any to give out either. i just assumed that google didn't like me and that is why.

I've given away around 9.
But recently, they really did dry up.
I think google is trying to make folks stop selling them on ebay and other places before they start giving out invites again. There are many accounts created by individuals right now that are just wanting to farm out invites to turn a profit.

Tom go to https://gmail.google.com/ and sign in.
If you have an invitation, it will say Invite a friend to join Gmail next to create a filter. If it doesn't say that, you don't have an invitation.
