Yes!!! And so so soooo true! Ever have that guest that started to clap after the anthem and then got "the look"? LOL!
|
That was me! After nearly 5 years, if I start clapping, everyone will join in; BUT I am the ONLY person who "Amens" during the service!

I think only half the congregation actually sings the hymns at my church. In high school, pretty much everyone sang (my high school is of the same denomination as the church I currently attend).

I was raised Presbyterian and later became Baha'i but now I consider myself a non-practicing Buddhist. I keep intending to get involved with a Buddhist temple but haven't done it yet.

You know, I've always wondered what it was like to bang a buddhist chick. You'd figure it'd be pretty wild since they always seem to have a bunch of energy.

I was born Jewish, but from the time that I was a little girl, I knew that it was not the faith for me. I grew up searching for a religious identity (I even gave Judaism a chance as a teenager). This past December, I started going to my local Unitarian Universalist Church and I found my religious home. In March, I officially joined the church. I am very happy now!

Ditto
Thinking about studying the kabbalah now, always seemed interesting, sure is "trendy" with the celebs right now. But I always liked the tree of life illustration.

Me too! A few years before you did, though.
And it's the Vatican, Mecca and Tibet all rolled into one.

I am a Mass on Sunday Roman Catholic. I didn't go to Mass for many, many years, but I decided to go a few years ago. I like it. the good thing about the Catholic Church is if you are lapsed, you can return anytime you want.

I actually had a priest tell me when I was very young "We don't want pick-and-choose Catholics; if you do that you can pick and choose another religion." Mind you, I was only about 8 or 9.
As a Christmas Catholic, I soon made the decision to go to another church, and now I'm going to Episcopal services every Sunday.

Born and raised Roman Catholic. I gave it a lot of thought and concluded that I believe JC really is Who we think He is and that Roman Catholicism is the path that leads most surely to where He wants us to be. I am further convinced that the Jesuit Order does the best job of teaching and explaining what it is really all about. AMDG.

I heard a priest say something similar about Catholicism. "This is not a Chinese menu. You can't pick what you like from column A and column B."
