We said it too, old enough to eat cornbread without choking. It's because cornbread is kinda dry and crumbly, so it tickles your throat at first, makes you cough a little. Until you get the hang of it. And my pham is from NC, not too DEEP south, lol.

I had never heard that 'fist-n-cuffs' mess. Loverman (lol) said it the other day, I was like, wtf? Fistacuffs? He had to explain, I told him to go on somewhere, cuffs? WTF? What if you got on a t-shirt? That's just silly to me, lol.

SNS, we said Gimme drowned!! LOL! I used to hate that mess, too. Just GIMME what I asked for, lol. Kill me correcting your english as if you learned how to talk on your own accord. Shoot, we had to get it from somewhere.

Grandpa Charlie:" If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle"
Grandpa Phil :" That gurl has the common sense of pocket lint"
Uncle Levi : " If you gon do it, then do it, cause talk aint nothin but a whole lotta Cheap!"( I still don't understand what in the hell he was talking about)

YAK Boys (my LB's from Pontiac Michigan):
Troy: "That's not my cup of Forte`"
James: "Why are you all so pressed to leave? It's not even early yet!"
Damon: " Don't dictate it the class, just read it to them and have them write it down"

Another Damon: What's the 410, (Baltimore Area Code where he lives), on that situation.

Whenever I use to pout about not getting my way my Great-Grandmother use to always say "you'll be alright when the swelling goes down" in other words whenever I stop crying my swollen eyes will go down and I'll forget about whatever it was I wanted!

Another one she always use to say would be..."Cher, I feel for you but I just can't reach you!" translation- Baby, I understand you want it but I can't give it to you!

I use to be like
