Agreed...from what I've read, Dan Brown wants it that way as well, but he's willing to see what Ron Howard has to say....

I'm trying to picture who is most like a younger Harrison Ford that could pull it off...but Hanks and Crowe are just flat wrong.

I heard John Travolta for Langdon, too, and as much as I luuurrve me some John Travolta, I think that would be awful. I can't think of anyone I would want in the movie, though.

Thanks, I learned something today. I did not know that
The book actually explained how Monalisa was displayed in a dead end room, which was not true on the present day's case (at least in 2003 when I visited Monalisa), because we were forming such a flow throughout the Museum without have to back out.

I agree. Langdon totally seems like a Ralph Fiennes kind of character.

And maybe Ashley Judd as Sophie.

I read both Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons recently. I preferred Angels just because it was the first one of the series I read and it was all new. Plus I remember studying most of the sculptures and paintings and churches in Art History in college, so I could say... hey! I know that place!

Now I am all curious to explore the Vatican City and Rome next summer.

As these books are fiction, I enjoyed that they gave me a new perspective on the Catholic faith. Now if only my teachers in high school had made the bible that interesting.

Tom Hanks is probably going to play Robert Langdon. I picture Langdon as more of a Harrison Ford-type guy, so I'm not sure if it's going to work.

Some are suggesting John Cusack, but Langdon's about 46 years old, so I don't know if Cusack could pull it off....

I don't like Kate Beckinsale as Sophie...Sophie was a blond in my imagination...Charlize Theron would be good.
I know Langdon was suppose to be in his mid 40's but I mentally always pictured someone along the line of Johnny Depp (he is early 40's). Dark and a bit on the good looking side with a hint of sense of humor

Tom Hanks...NO!

I can't see him as Robert Langdon. I picture Langdon's character as someone who is ruggedly handsome...like Robert Redford in his younger days...well I still think he's ruggedly handsome, he's just too old for this role.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I think Tilda Swinton should play Sophie.

When reading TDVC, Tom Hanks did not come to mind.

Should be interesting. And I would agree with Hugh Jackman, but isn't his accent pronounced?

Yeah, Tom Hanks is pretty much a definite for the role. They are also saying the movie could turn into a trilogy

One of our local papers had an article about Opus Dei, which referenced "The Da Vinci Code." The text is online at http://shrug.csl.uiuc.edu/~wedwards/opus_final.htm

I love like this book so far. I'm a little lost, but I figure as you go everything starts piecing together. Some of the things he talks about are so interesting like the PHI thing. I wonder if that has anything to do with some GLO's letters? It's so neat.
