Lettered thongs on ebay
I have to agree that lettered thongs are the height of tacky. Ugh.
I happened to be searching around on ebay after reading this thread and to my immense dismay discovered some wacko person selling KKG thongs on ebay.
What is this world coming to?

Mostly I think people just thought it was weird that our bookstore would be selling thongs at all, Greek letters or not. Who wants to buy a thong in the school bookstore at a tiny college where a million people would see you?
|
haha... I just found this thread...
I was so shocked when they started stocking the thongs at the bookstore last spring (twinstars graduated from my college). The thing was, they got the Kappa, KD, Theta, and Chi-O letters right... but on the thongs for my GLO they had " FBF" embroidered. Leave it to the W&L bookstore.
Although I think it was still better than the time another sorority sent us a notecard addressed to "the sisters of BQP"

I have seen thongs with my sorority letters. in my observation people are going to do and buy whatever they want. i'm not going to touch on the who gets the money from sales issue. but you have to think if you already wear a thong what's the difference if your letters are on them, you pledged that org i say more power to ya and you are just showing pride. i mean geez yall acting like all you guys are virgins, like the thong is like loosing you virginity or something. it's only underwear some girls don't even wear underwear sooooooooooooooo what!

Well whatever, to each his own. But I still find it completely tacky. I have a hundred of other classy ways to wear my letters, so why would I choose to wear them on my crotch?!

Whatever. I value the importance of my letters enough to not wear them on a cheap piece of cloth in my crotch area. I'd rather go commando, anyway.
How the hell is one supposed to exhibit pride wearing a lettered thong? By running around the student union in nothing but the thong, perhaps? Look at me folks, I'm an XYZ and I'm proud to have this isht stuck up the crack of my ass!

*WAVES HANDS TO EVERYONE* I'm the one she's talking about, folks.
Did your resume also lack any ounce of punctuation and was it full of run on sentences? Just wondering.

LOL! For a minute, I thought the lack of punctuation and run on sentences went with being a business management major or promotions director. Then again, it seems to me that grammar is a forgotten discipline on GC.

Now, now...I was just returning the favor, couldn't you tell? No need to be threatening the pimp slaps because I...am...so...scared....of....you.
If you don't like cheap shots, don't bother throwing that shit out, okay?
As a wise person said earlier on GC, if you can't stand the heat...stay out of the kitchen.
CTFU @ your pimp slaps. Using GC as a means of violence now. CLASSIC!

LOL....seriously guys, people post on GC like they are having a conversation. when we talk, we are not thinking about punctuation. same goes on GC. i remember punctuation even though i dont remember them in the right places...so we need to find something else to insult. cause punctuation isnt fair. if we are going to jump on other people's grammar, why not jump on the use of prepositions at the end of sentences.
about, on, out, with, after, of, among, etc...does not go at the of the sentences folks.
ok, you may now return to your regularly scheduled beat down..

I still would not display my letters on a thong. Anybody who is getting that close to me probably already knows that I'm a Gamma Phi.
p.s. I looooooooove the ignore button!
For those of you unaware of how the ignore button works, you can click on somebody's profile and then at the bottom right you can click a link to add "Captain Annoying" to your ignore list.

Thanks twin! I was kind of wondering how to do that!
I don't think that people on here complain about punctuation so much because they are "grading" you, it's more b/c it's incredibly hard to read and understand something that goes on forever and ever like this and you just don't know when it's going to stop or change subjects and my gosh I hate run on sentences. Ok! Anyway, I am not stellar at english myself but I at least try to make sense, I think the only exception to the rule should be Tom b/c, well, we all know he speaks in his own special language anyway.
