After candlelighting sounds like a good idea. We should also try to exchange cell phone numbers.

Anyway, they are going to unveil the new program at Convention. Hey guess what ya'll? I'm singing too at Convetion, not SOLO, but with a group of alumnae and collegiate members. It's going to be pretty cool. I got into the GWT speaker and my mother is making me bring her first edition GWT novel to be signed by the fellow.

Fun times.

I just bought some new white shoes for ritual and some major new cute outfits!

Re: your question - International volunteers are those who are appointed by Executive Board to Standing Committees & respective chairs, Network Specialists & Directors, plus a few other positions. Chapter Advisers are elected by their respective chapters. A more detailed definition for volunteers can be found in Governing Rules & Documents. (A good chunk of AOII Always members were volunteers anyways)

Hope this helps! PM if you have further inquiries ....

That's so exciting about the singing!

I need new white shoes but have a pair that will work if necessary. I did get super lucky and found a new white dress and a "little black dress"at the Jessica London website. I should have them by Friday. Drycleaning pickup is tomorrow so I'm in business.

Anyone happen to have an extra hat I could beg, borrow or steal for the tea?

After candlelighting then. How about meeting outside the Emporium?

If anyone (starting with aopirose ) would like my cell phone number, feel free to PM or email me.

All I've received regarding attire is from our CNS:

Attire: Remember to dress professionally and to note that there are two evening dress up nights. That means a nice dress for not only the Rose Banquet, but for awards night too. You may want to bring a sweater or jacket as well if you tend to get cold.

Anyone else have any clue? THANKS!!!

Did ya'll not get the little booklet that they sent? I got it and now can't find it. But it listed all the events and attire to bring. If I run across it today I'll post the details.

'old timer' help ...

Yes, Snowlady is right - you should have received a smaller white booklet, which had the attire detail, sightseeing info, hotel info, etc.

When going for a 'professional' look, think 'smart casual' - they really don't want jeans, short-shorts, 'Greek Week/Homecoming' type t-shirts. If you do want to wear a business suit, be sure it is one that you can sit in for long periods of time and be comfortable (like you may LOVE your new full skirted sundress from the Gap, but it might be a lot of material to have to deal with for sitting through business sessions - and frankly may be wrinkled to an inch of it life once you stand up ).

For the high tea/ dinner, a dressier suit (something for a more dressy wedding) and hat is called for, but semi-formal-ish. Do note that the PIP storytelling and Awards follow, so you just might want to be a bit dressier than just an everyday dress/suit.... Myself, I am wearing a black cocktail dress with an open back with a feather hair-head piece in black and hot pink....

I hope that helps!! PM me if you have any attire questions

If SnowLady doesn't get it to first today, I will post up the listing later tonight...

FYI - Collegaite chapters are meeting with their CNS either Wed night 10:30 pm or Friday 8:30 am, so I am out for those times for meeting up...

NeonPi -

Does that pamphlet say that Friday is red and white day?

So basically unless you plan to bring 100 outfits with you :P (and we ARE girls!)

Wednesday is smart casual.
Thursday is Ritual, Business Session and High Tea
Friday is Business session and free time
Saturday is Ritual, Business Session and Rose Banquet

??
