MTSU (modern day castle):
This is my favorite house on the row. The rumor around campus has been that the round turret is a secret room, but a Beta told me that it's really just the trophy room.
(what I want to know is why do people think they would build a secret room so obvious and with so many windows?)

They are four (that's right four, meaning they house 8 out of 45 people) bedroom split levels made of brick with a simple lettered arch way across the front. I mean they are all EXACTLEY the same. I never understood the hype about pnms possibly choosing a group because of their house, but now.....woooooo!!! that's alot to swallow!
Totally off subject...but I was at Oglethorpe this weekend...WOW. It's such a beautiful campus!

Those ATO house are gorgeous!!! I am not surprised though. The ATO house at my school is beautiful and looks kind of similar to the one at Indiana!

Yeah, in keeping with the "working man's fraternity" thing, a lot of our houses are pretty ordinary.

while visiting my best friend, I got to have a tour of the Alpha Phi house at Indiana University in Bloomington...

Although apparently it is one of the smallest GLO houses on campus! I love the IU campus...and I got to go to Little 5 which was mighty crazy, I only wished I went to IU!

To answer your questions about Indiana university...

The Alpha Xi Delta house holds about 115 girls I think.

YES, its HUGE and really nice, but the problem is that they have to fill out it...so...live outs arent allowed.

This may seem like a small thing to some, but after a while, its nice to make the transition from college student to the real world, and in most houses, seniors usually live out.

In fact, a lot of houses have a live out/senior house somewhere on campus so brothers and sisters can still live together, but in a smaller setting.

I think the AOII house holds 120+...AOII rose will have to correcct me on that.

I know that they originally wanted to build it LARGER but the university made them make some architectural changes and they ended up making it a little smaller then they wanted.

That house cost $4 Million dollars!!!

Pretty close! We house about 108 girls! That is correct...the intention was to have the house bigger, but we had to cut some things out. We have an elevator inside and we are the only greek house on campus with one since this is new requirement.
